I hurriedly packed this morning for traveling and packed my machine w/o it’s top seal. (I think I vaguely remember putting the seal onto the adapter top which came w my SoClean machine)
We plugged the machine with paper napkins enough to get it to operate ( still noisy), turned off the humidifier. Is this ok? Cn I operate it like this for one more night?
Thank you
Jan
HELP-no seal on humidifier for Airsense 10
Re: HELP-no seal on humidifier for Airsense 10
Without knowing how wet the paper napkins will get, I would be very concerned that paper dust and residue would be transported into my lungs. That, I would think, could be problematic to say the least. In situations like this I would be inclined to seek out a DME with a nearby physical location and try to buy a new tank. Failing that, I would check out eBay or Craigslist to see how quickly you could get one. If you search for a tank on eBay and sort the results for the nearest seller based on the ZIP code of the hotel where you are staying. Quite frankly, I would be less concerned over the cost and more concerned with the potential danger.
On the other hand, you might take this as a warning and buy a back up tank to include in your bug-out bag - forewarned is forearmed.
