Is it a two year warranty? Does the two year warranty (if it is) transfer with teh new owner?

The manufacturers state that the warranty is non-transferable. The discount of buying used vs. the expected cost of any repairs definitely averages out highly in favor of buying used.

The comparison for me is with 'Secondwind' whose 'gently used' VAuto is $184 more than than the one you're selling and that's without shipping. I jumped on that offer about three months ago and they do have the advantage of a warranty and a back up service. Yours is a very good price for anyone who wants a BiLevel machine without those safeguards.

Their VAuto is easily the best deal on their site too in terms of discount from full price. Also, keep in mind that they buy machines up to 2000 hours for resale. My understanding is that you kind of roll the dice on how many hours you will get from them between 1 - 2,000, although I'm sure the majority clusters around a very low hour mark, as that is the tendency for second hand CPAPs in general. Most people looking to sell didn't use the machine long enough to put a whole lot of hours on. Compliance rates are very poor.
The warranty thing provides some peace of mind if you have it, but I really don't think the expected value of it is that high in monetary sense. How many essentially unused, newest available model ResMed CPAP machines are going to fail within six months, or a year?

Valid points. If your offer had come out a few months earlier I would have jumped on it but the one I got is still a bargain and had less than 200 hours.

Can't go wrong either way getting a VAuto. I can't go back to not having the bi-level at this point.

I agree. I don't need bilevel but it has made my PAP experience so much more comfortable. It has made my numbers more consistent and I'm sleeping better. It's rare that I go above 1
