My first posting of sleepyhead data

Post by ticman1 » Sun Jul 08, 2018 3:29 pm

Please be patient. Been on cpap for 14 months. Have only used MyAir from ResMed for data info. Been pleased with therapy and use the machine religiously, sleeping 7 to 8.5 hours per night with out taking mask off.

Just spent 2 + hours d/l sleepyhead and the daily data, collapsing calendar and deleting piechart and rearranging graph order and figuring out how to adjust graph height and taking a screen shot. LOL I am looking at data charts and really don't have a clue of how I might be doing. The only thing that in my feeble little mind (pun intended) that I question is leak rate. Some quick background. Started out with Resmed Nasal mask N20. Used it for about a year and then decided to try pillows. Used ResMed FX for a week and didn't like the air blowing on my arm or my wife's face. Went to Airfit P10. Love the mask. In looking at my sleepyhead chart and seeing data from 5/10/17 to present I notice that leak rates were insignificant until I started with pillows in May, 2018. I rarely wake up because of a leak. I usually sleep on my back most of the night.

here is my screen shot. I have the sinking feeling that you all won't be able to open and that I missed a step somewhere along the line--hence please be patient.

LOL I await further instructions and thank all forum members for the many helpful posts that have appeared and have helped me out with reviews, selections, how to's etc.

i'm no expert but WOW! that is one good looking chart. i'm quite envious.

i'm kind of surprised that sleeping on your back doesn't have an adverse effect on you. i get all kinds of obstructives when i do that. but it works for you, so what can i say?

now, let's sit back and see what others have to say.....
people say i'm self absorbed.
but that's enough about them.

Thanks for the reply. I do sleep on my back but have an adjustable bed so head is slightly elevated. This may help

My concern is more the number of leaks. Not sure I understand the severity but I’m sleeping well and really enjoy the freedom and minimally obtrusive pillows

Hope others will comment and wonder if other daily posts would add any benefit.

Somehow, you managed to turn off the flags, look at the dropdown in the lower left corner of the chart area, and turn all the flags back on.

AHI is good and low, your leaks are a bit much, it looks like youv'e got some extra leakage somewhere, (maybe a hole in the hose?) but even so, they're within the 'ok' level for the machine.

Other than having the flags turned off, you did a great job getting things arranged for the screenshot. You're the proof that it *can* be done by people on a first try... things like that warm my little black heart ;)

I think you've got all of the event flags turned off. In the lower left corner of the charts area, you'll see "Flags", right now it says LL and shows red rectangle. Pop that up and click all available flags to turn them green (on).

Edit: Sure takes me awhile to compose a response on my phone.

Ok--turned on flags and got all choices changed from red to green

Is it appropriate to send a week's worth of screen shots as attachments in order to get feedback as how things are looking over time rather than just one day. My guess is yes, but thought I'd better ask before I clog up the forum or overstay my welcome. LOL

Thanks

Unless they are significantly different from the one you posted....more are not necessary.

The only differences are in AHI numbers.

For the last 7 days they were:
1.6. 2.9. .8 1.9. .7 1.6 2.3

Leak rear from ResMed myair were L/min

16.8 20.4 31.2 21.6 19.2. 24.0 25.2

I don’t know if any of the above should be cause for concern

Appreciate comments
