I suppose an obvious question will be - did I go overboard celebrating the 4th? I did not. It's very rare for me to drink alcohol these days.
What I'm wondering is: If this continues, better to stay at max pressure with a brief wakeup? Or lower the max pressure and let the AHI go up? Not changing anything based on this one night.
Well, to me, the whole point of cpap is to lower the AHI.
If you're needing 20cm pressure to somewhat tame (though not eliminate) things, then you'll just make it worse by limiting the max.
If you're not having any other side effects besides waking up, then I say leave the pressure up there, because the events are more likely to disturb your sleep.
My guess is that it was the events you were still having at 20cm pressure that woke you up, and not the pressure itself. and your min is way too low.
