Figure I would start a new thread rather than beat the dead horse of the DME issue. I'll use this one to track therapy going forward.
In-Home SS completed on 6/7 and 6/8 with an AHI of 82.9 and 91.9 respectively with 12.2% of the recorded time spent under 90% O2 Sat. I'm not 100% convinced of the accuracy of the test however I don't disagree with the diagnosis. Fast forward a few weeks and I now have had my Resmed Airsense 10 AutoSet for just about a week. My first night was good, not great, from a sleep standpoint although my Sleepyhead results indicated very few apneas which is good. Since then I feel I've been adjusting well.
6/29 sleepyhead:
7/4 results:
My AHI has been staying right around or below 1.0 which I know is very good. I made one small adjustment to bring the starting pressure up to 6 since as soon as it goes past it, it never comes back. I'm thinking I should bring up the minimum more but I also know I'm only a week in so I'm still getting used to the new normal. While I can't say I'm wide awake during the day now, I can say that I get up easier in the morning (still not exactly a morning person) and I have already noticed a slight drop in BP and definitely a drop in resting HR.

You are doing so well, looks good! What really impresses me is how on these two nights you didn't have a single break in treatment for over 7 hours ... it took me many months to get to that point!
As for your comment re lower resting heart rate, that was one of the first early indicators that CPAP was really helping my health improve.
Many folk don't have a massive surge of energy from day one, that is quite unusual I would say reading here over the last few years. But over time you will feel the restorative benefits of good sleep and resolved OSA. And like the rest of us you will wonder how the heck you managed before XPAP.

Are you feeling better than you did before? You baseline was so bad and your therapy numbers are so good that I suspect that it's noticeable.
Re: Therapy appears to be working...
You might as well turn your min up to 10, maybe 12 so the machine doesn't spend the night trying to get back down to 6, which is way too low for you.

Thanks, I'll give 10min a shot tonight since that seems to be what the average pressure has been so far.
With regards to how I feel, as mentioned, I might say I'm less tired during the day but my HR has definitely been impacted positively. Outside of bathroom trips every once in a while, I've been able to stick with the mask on all night after the first night. The first night I woke up at 4:15am and took the mask off and rolled back over.

yeah, those are good numbers, for sure. i'm one of those people for whom it seemed to take forever to get reasonable numbers, so congrats there.zapped82 wrote: ↑Thu Jul 05, 2018 3:11 pmThanks, I'll give 10min a shot tonight since that seems to be what the average pressure has been so far.

i have never been a morning person and cpap hasn't changed that. i will never jump out of bed with a song in my heart and a smile on my lips. but, i DO feel better.
and you know? those pee breaks will be cut way down and then could eventually stop! one of the side benefits to the therapy.

My machine has never retreated to my lower pressure. Something I never understood, but what the heck! I wouldn't worry about it.

I'd have to see a chart, but if pressure doesn't drop, then you're having either snores, or flow limitations (or hypopneas or apneas) that are keeping the pressure up. Without any one of those four, pressure drops.Sheriff Buford wrote: ↑Fri Jul 06, 2018 6:56 amMy machine has never retreated to my lower pressure. Something I never understood, but what the heck!
