myAir did not receive my CPAP use data for Tue Jul 2 2018

Post by AnnOrr » Tue Jul 03, 2018 9:13 pm

Hello, I'm new here and have a question. :)

I have used an AirSense 10 Autoset for Her from ResMed for over a year. When I checked my myAir webpage today I found the message "myAir hasn't received data from your machine for some time." I used my CPAP Tue Jul 2 but not the night before. I have a solid record of using it for over a year. I have skipped entire nights now and then in the past but it has not a difference.

I checked and Airplane Mode was Off as it should be. There were three signal bars which has worked in the past; I carried my machine to my deck and got 5 signal bars. Waited a couple of hours and still no data. I called my local ResMed office and the assistant there suggested I turn off the electrical power to the machine and then turn it back on. I left the machine without power for at least 15 mins. Still no data for last night. I've left my CPAP machine on now for about 7 hours since I turned the electricity back on and still no data.

Anyone know what could be keeping myAir from receiving my CPAP use data?

Does ResMed have this problem with collecting data now and then? Did anyone else experience it Tue Jul 2?

My use of the CPAP is being appealed by ResMed with Medicare. Is it possible the appeal has been lost and therefore my data is no longer being recorded by myAir and supplied to me? I have not received any information about the status of the appeal that would suggest my use of the CPAP has a Final Denial by Medicare.

Any help will be appreciated. :D

I have had the same message for the last two nights. July 2 and 3, 2018. I can't find anything wrong on my machine settings so I might call Resmed and see if they are having issues. My signal is weak in my room but I've always gotten results on My Air, and I've tried 3 different masks.
I don't have any issues with medical coverage, so it may not be your appeal being lost.

I have ordered a wifi booster and will try that as well, and I'll reboot the machine again like you did. I'm fairly new to Cpap and just trying to figure things out.

I just went to https://myair.resmed.com and noticed a banner at the top of the screen mentioning that Myair is experiencing technical difficulties. You may experience a delay in receiving new data.

Give it a day or two and see if it improves.

A WiFi booster will not help with the signal strength. Your machine uses a cellular phone connection to transmit your data. Resmed is probably having trouble with their site and no one wants to work on the holiday. I haven't looked at the site in several weeks, and when I just went to the site, it showed a new version of MyAir being rolled out. I do not know when it happened, but that may be the problem.

Like OkieBipap says, a wifi signal booster won't help at all, since the machine doesn't use wifi... think about it, did you ever put your wifi password into the cpap?

Nope, the data goes straight to Resmed, and has nothing to do with medicare or your DME. But, like others have said, Resmed's having problems with their cloud servers.

Unless MyAir is needed to maintain insurance coverage, why is it needed?
Sleepyhead is soooo much better . . .

Even then, the SD card, or machine can verify usage.

My pneumo downloads my sd card once a year.
No idea why anyone would mess with less.

Cuz it gives you a pat on the head for playing the game, I'm guessing.

Here's the email I received from ResMed about it...
Dear Matt,

We want to let you know that we are experiencing issues that are causing delays in getting your sleep therapy data in myAir. You may have noticed that your account has not been updated for a few days. We have teams working around the clock to resolve this issue. We know how important tracking your therapy is, and we’re very sorry for the inconvenience this may cause.

As an alternative, you can learn more about last night’s therapy by viewing the Sleep Report on the screen of your AirSense™ 10 or AirCurve™ 10 machine. Use the dial on your machine to scroll and press it to select Sleep Report. The parameters displayed will depend on your mode of therapy and the settings applied by your provider. (See your User Guide for more information)

Please continue to check back for updates. We’ll keep a message displayed on myair.resmed.com until this issue is resolved. We appreciate your patience while we work through this.

Sleep well,
The myAir Team

MyAir is back on line for me anyway.

I have loong since given up on Windoze and *l*inux, and am quite happy for now with iOS.

IMHO..My Air is useless. Sleepyhead analyzes therapy minute by minute. My Air is a report card for insurance compliance.

My DOCTOR uses Rescan--I use the sleep report screen, set to show everything possible.
I was "chained" to a desktop computer for 24 years--the pay was good, but it put me somewhat off computer work.
