Is is CPAP maching (AirSense10) on Amazon legit?

It's sold by a 3rd party, not Amazon itself, and it's considerably cheaper than on cpap.com. Has anyone bought CPAP machines on Amazon before? Are these stuff new rather than refurbished?

I think that is something you would have to ask the seller.
We have no way to know where that seller gets the equipment that they offer for sale or if new or refurbished.

Cpap.com has to sell ResMed products for what ResMed says they can sell them at to keep their contract with ResMed.
They have to sell at ResMed's MSRP without discounts unless ResMed is promoting a sale and then something might be discounted....it's in the contract and it's the same with other places that sell ResMed products online...that's why you see the same prices 99% of the time from various online cpap dealers for the same product. To get and keep the wholesale ability to buy ResMed products from ResMed that had to sign a contract that has some restrictions about pricing along with some other restrictions besides price...like where the products can be shipped.

Now I suspect that the 3rd party sellers you see on Amazon are DMEs doing a little side business on the internet through Amazon. I have no proof though...just my suspicions.

IMO you should be good with a seller that has both high ratings and many reviews

BUT you will be better off going with secondwindcpap which is very reputable: the autoset for her is $599 - near the bottom of the page. Plus they have great customer service and will replace your machine should anything be wrong with it. Rather than trust some random company on Amazon.

By 'legitimate" I'm not sure if you mean 100% legal, or if you mean that you're getting a product in reasonable condition and with legitimate title (i.e. not stolen).

I am not aware of any trafficking in stolen CPAP machines at this time. Also, theft of a CPAP machine (especially from a patient or medical facility), can be reckless endangerment.

In theory it could also be attempted murder. If a patient dies, it could be also be actual murder or felony murder, although this might be difficult to establish in court.

It might not be 100% legal to buy a CPAP without a prescription, but this is not enforceable. You'll need to check the reputation of the seller and whether the host (Amazon) makes any warranty.

We can only imagine how a thief can monetize their loot.
CraigsList is suspected to be a popular local fence.

I have purchased equipment from that Supplier with no issues I received a brand new unused Autoset from them, they even shipped internationally to Ireland for me.
