Mole Skin

Post by Sheriff Buford » Sat Jun 09, 2018 11:38 am

I am going to give the Resmed F20 a try. As with all the full face masks I've use, I've needed to protect the bridge of my nose. I have used the medical tape/bandaid strips with some success. I just bought some mole skin.
Here's the dumb question: shouldn't the padded side of the mole skin strip be against the skin? How can it provide comfort on the mask side?

I vote for adhesive side away from the skin.
Otherwise, why bother with moleskin when a band aid has padding--for less money?
Moleskin mimics the touch of chamois--traditionally used on braces and prosthetics.
Mask liner of chamois--PETA would have a . . . cabbage?

When I used it, I placed the adhesive side toward the skin. I found I didn't need it when I used the F20 mask

Why do you think that is?

The F20 cushion fit my face better and I did not need to keep it as tight as I did with the simplus. I have a very narrow bridge on my nose

Is the F20 cushion the same cushion used for the F10?

No it isn't. I tried the F10 and could not use it. I used the F20 for over a year until I recently switched to the Dreamwear FFM.

I don't think so. They do have some similarities but I don't think the F10 and F20 cushions are interchangeable.

The F10 and the Quattro Air use the same cushion

The F20 can use the regular F20 cushion or the AirTouch memory foam F20 cushion

and it looks considerably different from the F10
