Shoutout From Brain_Cloud Regarding Wife's APAP

Post by Cloud_Brain » Mon May 28, 2018 10:06 am

I was active on this forum in 2009-2012 under the name Brain_Cloud (I think), but the system didn't remember that username so I registered anew. Personally, I am a long-time PAP-er, 100% compliant since late 2009. I remarried last year to an awesome woman who was diagnosed with mild OSA a few weeks ago and got her AirSense 10 AutoSet for Her several days ago, with AirFit F20 for Her for the mask.

She is using a DME called CPAP Now. Her machine sends data directly to the DME through the magic of wireless transmission across the luminiferous aether. I registered her on the myAir website thingee, but I see that it only displays infantile summary data. What a waste.

So I guess we need to get the full software. So is the Rescan software still available? Does it work with the Airsense 10 AutoSet? The DME did not provide an SD card. If I get an SD card for the machine, will that interfere with the wireless data transmission that is currently going on?

P.S. for old-timers: It was not Jaylee that I married

You want Sleepyhead - it's what almost everyone here uses and is way more comprehensive than others (designed by a member, on a Mac,, tho' of course does Wins). I suggest you look at member Palerider or Pugsy's sig. lines for downloading and how to post images etc. MyAir is junk and I don't know about Rescan though some do use it.

Absolutely!
Sleepyhead will give you what you want, without all the frustration tied to Rescan.
Welcome back! And best wishes

You can PM Carolyn and get the issues fixed with your old account.

ResScan is still available. I think I have a working link and will send it to you privately if it still works.

You can also use a forum member developed software called SleepyHead and it's kinda fun and you can do more with it.

If you don't have a blank SD card laying around just go to some place like WalMart and get a generic cheap SD card.
2 GB is more than sufficient but I doubt you can find one that small. I am using a Sandisk 8 GB SD card that I got at my local Walmart.
Works fine.

The wireless/cellular transmission of the data to MyAir or the DME or doctor is unaffected by the SD card being in place. So no worries there.
The SD card does HAVE to be in the machine all night to get anything but the summary numbers. So all the graphs require the data files for those graphs to be written directly to the SD card. Only summary information is stored on the machine.
