WristOx2 Nonin/philips wrist oximeter

Post by samsleeper » Fri May 11, 2018 12:15 pm

Does anyone have a recommendation on where to buy a WristOx2 Nonin/philips wrist oximeter. I know there are cheaper ones out there, but I want to get this one since it's the only only my Dr trusts.

Am I right that I would also have to buy the software that does with this?

thanks

Funny how doctors so often have NO CLUE about the budgets of the rest of us.

Might try Mr. Google, he knows everything! Maybe Nonin/Philips, is the stock your doctor owns. O2 Pulse won't save your life, it's just a tool to see how your body is doing using, reguarding O2 levels. The can point to problems, but mostly just cause more anxiety. Jim

If you want to spend 7-10 times as much money, knock yourself out... Or you can get one of the contec models that are *just as accurate* and prove it to your doctor...Take it in and put it on one finger while he uses his expensive one on another.

it's your money.

When I've been in the hospital, the respiratory therapists go around checking people with one of the cheap finger units, *because they're all accurate*... the science behind them is *VERY* simple. heck, you can even build your own.

That's a ton of money IMO. Seems way overkill.

I recently bought a Torontek B400 at Walmart.ca....looks very similar to the Contec CMS50F. Mine was just over CAD$100...about US$80.

Why not buy 10 of the Contec units use then all, add the numbers up, and divide by ten, use the free software and put the other $700 back to pay your doctor. Jim
