CPAP Supplies
Does anyone know where in the Philadelphia PA area I can donate cpap supplies?

Some were there is a mask for me

Re: CPAP Supplies
I'd reach out to this group - and see if anyone needs anything. Not sure "Officially" where the best place to donate "Charitably" CPAP supplies would be and not have them simply resold for profit. IE: Goodwill.
Maybe others can chime in and provide better ideas for places you could take your un-needed gear to so it could be distributed to those in need.
Good luck!

Re: CPAP Supplies
Goodwill in my area won't accept CPAP supplies. I've tried numerous times to see if they changed their policy. They haven't.. at least in my area.

Re: CPAP Supplies
Thanks to everyone, just checked with my local VA. They will take the supplies if still sealed.

Re: CPAP Supplies
Check with groups that provide home health. The nurses often know who needs what.

Re: CPAP Supplies
I've seen CPAP machines I wouldn't touch with a 10 foot pole for sale at Goodwill before. I might consider buying one to use as a interesting CPU cooling system to direct air directly through the CPU heat sync if I didn't think the thing would be loud as all heck... Most of the time I think it's because they ether don't care or have no idea what the hell it is - they just know it looks interesting has a place for a plug to go and so it must be worth something to someone... I've seen them for like 10 or 20 dollars... Old as heck machines that who knows what they can do.
I would generally feel very sorry for any one who would consider buying one to use on them selves to treat any sort of medical condition. Might be fun for spare parts or such if you like to tinker.

Re: CPAP Supplies
O and just as a follow up, for what it's worth...
I did a search for using a CPAP to cool a CPU - and found a link to a guy who hacked a CPAP machine to use it to cool down the print head on a 3D printer. If you read the comments there's still a whole lot of misinformation out there about Apnea and CPAP use... it's kind of sad.
Lot of people talking about how CPAP is just a scam because insurance doesn't want to pay for "Surgery" which is supposedly the real way to fix our problem, Or that CPAP doesn't work. Or that the machines are all a thousand dollars. That CPAP's are one time use - can't be used with another patient... Just bla bla bla... people who don't know what they're talking about spewing out their opinion like it's fact or doctrine. Wanted to yell at them.
There were a few people that came to the rescue and talked about how they've been using their XPAP for years and how it saved their lives. That was good to see.
O well...
Carry on.
