Best CPAP cleaning machine?

I continued to be amazed by the lack of civility and the childish behavior shown on this forum by some of the participants. Some of you folks should find another playroom.

I have used my long hose with water drops still in it from being washed. Didn't seem to make any difference, and it was dried out the next morning. I don't have a cleaning machine. I looked into the SoClean. But decided against it when I learned 2 things; the price of the filters ($60 /year) and that the directions say you have to wash with soap and water before using the Soclean.

Unfortunately, this topic seems to bring out the worst in people. I've said this before - since it seems to come up at least once a week. Why not make the, "SoClean" topic a sticky? Then we could just point people to the sticky at the top of the first page. Maybe even attempt to put the last twelve (lol) threads about the SoClean in the sticky. It would sure save our fingers and our sanity.

LOL... Ok, next question; What's better a Ford or a Chevy? Honestly i had no idea they didn't work! I'll just have to use the good old fashion way. Wash by hand... I was wondering about the wipes though. I'll get some of those... And maybe a dryer... Thank You Everyone! Bill

At least it falls off the page every now and then and people shut the hell up about it and the fighting quits at least for a little while until someone either resurrects and old thread or starts a new one not knowing that if they do they need to duck and cover.

And I guarantee you that even if we made it a read only sticky people would then start a new thread to ask questions or talk about it or blast someone for trying it and we would be right back where we are here right now.

And, if you clean/wash your equipment in the evening before bedtime, you won't need to waste money on a "dryer" or trying to dry your equipment........which is totally dumb because you're going to put moisture right back into it.

You're logic is retarded. By your reasoning there is no need to even clean your equipment because your just going to get it dirty again.

I guess I can wash my equipment right before bed throw it on and everything will be great.... Oh wait isn't rainout a build up of moisture in your equipment???

Or are you suggesting running your machine without your equipment on to dry it out? Again what's the point if it's going to get wet again right?

What part of "IT DOESN'T CLEAN THE MACHINE or PARTS" do you not understand???" Their own manual states that you need to WASH the parts BEFORE you put them in the machine. And, then, these machines don't generate enough ozone to disinfect the equipment properly. You're confusing "cleaning" with "disinfecting" and demonstrating your ignorance in the process. And, "rainout" and "residual moisture" (which is quickly dried after the machine is started) are not the same thing.

And, your rhetoric regarding the mentally/physically challenged is out of line. You're an ignorant jackass!

Go spend some time reading some of the links from past discussions in the search link I posted. This subject has been argued so many times it's ridiculous. Also, learn to use the "Search" function at the top of the page.

Who said anything about drying a water chamber but you?????

Please define a few drops of water if we are going to try and be accurate here? I could easily get hundreds if not thousands of drops of water out of a hose that was rinsed.

ETA: many don't clean any of there equipment, so maybe it's just a waste of time right?

That has also been discussed ad infinitum around here, too. Why would you dry a part that you're going to immediately put (distilled) water back into anyway?

I got them already and have used them a few times when things got way out of hand.
I don't/won't use them all that often because all it usually does is make someone start a new thread continuing the same fight.
Might as well let them duke it out in one thread instead of 3 or 4.

Carolyn/Johnny doesn't want old threads locked just because they are old. If the Goodman's wanted to lock old threads to prevent responses they could implement an expiration time frame for new posts to old threads. That hasn't been done and it's very unlikely it will ever be done.

I know the old threads being resurrected annoys the hell out of some people.
All I can say is get over it...it's not going to change and just watch the dates and don't read the old threads if they bug people that much.

Too lazy to wipe off the mask in the a.m. and refill the reservoir?! That's LITERALLY all I've ever done. I wipe off the facial oils in the morning (or before bed if I'm *too* lazy) and I rinse and refill the reservoir when it starts feeling slimy inside, about once a week. Otherwise I just top up the humidifier at night before bed so it doesn't run dry, and I've never cleaned my hose. I've also NOT had any upper respiratory infection aside from a common cold in the almost 4years I've been on CPAP, and the colds I do have don't last nearly as long. I refuse to throw away good money for something I can do myself.
