S10 summary daily display on the screen AHI is way off

Post by feeling_better » Sat Dec 30, 2017 2:14 am

For last night, the summary screen of daily data on the S10 shows AHI 18.6. And total AHI about the same. When I read that into SleepyHead it shows the AHI as 0.78. I think my AHI was really ~0.78 because those were the type of AHI I was regularly getting on S9. Why is the machine showing AHI so much higher. It could be all the events for the total of 9 hrs or so I used. Any ideas? Thanks.

Give it another night or so - anything can be off for one night and you can't always trace it.

Did you have a break in therapy during the night where the machine was turned off and then back on at some time?
If so then it is possible that the machine LCD display is only showing a brief session and it's possible that a short session with some SWJ events can be falsely elevating the on screen data.

If you look at the SleepyHead data...on the left side scroll down below the statistics and see how many sessions it is reporting.

I had the same problem on a rental S10 Autoset for Her. I had it for a month. The first week it was good. Then it showed 10.6 and stayed stuck there for the rest of the month. It also didn't send any info to MyAir.
The pressure looked like it was working properly and my new machine was coming so I left it that way for the month.
Using weight loss, general exercise, and tongue/throat exercises I managed to get my AHI down to approx 5.
Not using a machine currently.

Mogy and Pugsy,

I think what I had was as a result of some thing like what both of you mentioned. I cleared all the data before going to bed last night. Todays reading is looking normal similar to what I used to get for S9. Thank you.

New question: Is it possible the AHI s10 shows on the screen (summary) is not just for the last night (which was the case for S9) but for the average of some number of nights... I need to check the manual... I am pressed for time, since I am getting ready to make a trip to the other side of the globe...

The summary shown on the resmed is selectable. It can be anything from 1day to 365 days changeable at will order the sleep report menu you can click on the number of days and select multiple values the summary report will then reflect the number of days selected

I believe it is possible. I would need to check the manual to be sure....
If I remember correctly there is a default for one thing and we can change it but I don't remember what it is.

I found it. The # of days over which average is displayed is the Period towards the bottom just above the average # of hours per day use. You can change that from the regular user menu (no need to go into Clinician Mode) and select 1 day, 1 week, ... 1 yr.
