Cpap is much more than the mechanics of blowing air up your nose.
It is an opportunity to make a trip into yourself.
It may be the trip of your life time.
A chance to discover who
you really are
and what are
you really capable of.
It will require patience, persistence and courage.
It's not about he or she or them or they....it's about
you.
I'll see you on the road.
"If your therapy is improving your health but you're not doing anything
to see or feel those changes, you'll never know what you're capable of."
I said that.

My wife and I have been sleeping side-by-side in the same bed virtually every night for more than 47 years. Not once in the past ten years of that time since I started on CPAP has she complained to me about how stupid or fashion challenged I may look when fully suited up for my nightly embrace in the arms of morpheus. In fact, she has commented that she would rather see me thus than to lie alone with my former side of the bed now empty. As long as the paparazzi stay out of our bedroom, only she will know how it looks.

Am I the only one here that finds cpap gear oddly arousing?

Others have said everything I would have said, and better.... Just one thing to add. When intimacy calls, that mask can come off REALLY fast! It need not be an impediment at all.

Getting old doesn't make you 'forgetful'. Having too damn many things to remember makes you 'forgetful'.

Though, there's a thread or two buried here'bouts where folks have gotten it on, then posted the cpap data... for science, I'm sure.

Ditto what everyone else said and just to add, as the wife of a snorer, your wife and co-workers will rather see you in the mask then listen to you snoring all night! Also, I'm not sure what kind of mask you're using but if a nasal pillow mask works for you, they are very minimal now. I love the Airfit P10, when you're ready to fall asleep, you just pull it on, no messing with adjusting velcro straps or buckles.

Snoring means the least of the problem, it's only a small symptom. By not treating Sleep Apena you are killing yourself and others around you that care. Jim

If the flag is up, it doesn't mean you have to keep your mask on. You'll figure it out.
