Resmed FX vs FX Bella

Post by feeling_better » Fri Dec 22, 2017 2:40 pm

I use the L pillow, the FX Bella dies not include L size, so I ordered the FX. I have been always using the ear straps (I cannot use the headsrap). I thought both FX and FX Bella included both the ear straps and the head strap. My recent FX does not have the ear straps.

Is this a recent change, or an incomplete pkg? Where can I buy the ear straps separately? How much?

See https://www.cpap.com/customize.php?list ... &PAID=1516

According to CPAP.com, the grey Bella (61568) includes both head gear (head and ear) as well as S, M, and L pillows.
You can often get the Bella loops on eBay for about $15-$20. Amazon is about $20.

ResMed offers a Swift FX package including the Bella Loops and one without the Loops. Sounds like your DME sent you the "no loop" package.

Here's the package that has both the Loops and the traditional Swift FX headgear.
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... -cpap.html

If you do the "customize and buy" thing you can choose the gray color which includes the Small, Medium and Large nasal pillows.
The pink color gives you the XSmall, Small and Medium pillows.

Loops can be purchased separately.
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... -parts-tab
Along with just the nasal pillows in any assorted size if you wish.
Now your DME may not keep the Loops in the separate package in their inventory.

I suspect whomever you got your last mask package from didn't have the package that had the Loops included and just sent the regular packaging.
And if you aren't getting the Large pillow then it sounds like you are getting the "For Her" package which is pink and has XSmall, Small and Medium pillows in it.
If you get the gray color packaging you would get the Large pillow.

Pugsy, do you mean there is FX PKG with L pillow and the ear loops? I do not see that. Yes, I know Bella has the ear loops, but only up to M pillow. I would like to know the model or description so I can tell the Medicare supplier the correct ordering info next time.

I called the supplier up now and they said they would send me the ear loops.

Interestingly, if I order Bella, I would end up with 5 useable L pillows in that qtr. For me the only items that show any degradation are the loops and the pillows. Medicare dies not have an item number fir the looks only. In fact my loops wear out faster than the month replacement period

Thank you for your help.

Yes, there is a package with the Large pillows included.....it's the choice for "gray" headgear
https://www.cpap.com/productpage/resmed ... -cpap.html
and it looks like ResMed product number 61568
https://www.resmed.com/us/dam/documents ... er_eng.pdf

The pink headgear package is product number 61560 and it has the XS, Small and Medium pillows.

The pink vs gray color is that back strap on the silicone frame portion of the packaging. I think the pink is a little shorter.
The Gray also might give you little gray covers for the Loop covers instead of pink...big whoopie
