Post by AMESS » Tue Nov 28, 2017 6:06 pm

The vent gets to me--and the husband. Blows and blows. is there a mask with a filter out there?

The diffused vent on the P10 is virtually silent.

I'll 2nd the P10. It doesn't blow like my other mask does.

The Fisher & Paykel Bravida is somewhat similar to the P10 which I used since its introduction. However, since trying the Bravida earlier this year I found it to be more stable and quieter - in addition, with its diffuser the escaping air is virtually undetectable. Its headgear is also significantly more adjustable.

The Eson 2 from Fisher and Paykel has a snap on difuser that works very well, not quite as good as the P10, but nearly so.

You want a mask with a filter on the output so your germs won't get on your husband, and visa verse? Jim

Air flowing freely out of the mask is the way each mask was designed for maximum efficiency. Any attempt at blocking, diverting or impeding that flow with a filter is bad for your treatment at best and your health at worst. most people get used to the exhaust or position themselves to minimize whatever bothers them about it. if my wife's exhaust is bothering me i'll turn over. If mine bothers her she'll kick me and i'll turn over.

Amara View with half of a resmed filter over the vent ... work good for me ... been using it this way for several years, and still alive

The sound helps me sleep, lol. Kind of like a white noise machine.
