Don't those stick too well? What if you got sick in the night? Very rare for me, but still a consideration.
I’ve really never thought of them sticking too well. I’m a belt and suspenders guy, as I also use a chin strap and tape. Tomorrow morning, I’ll try to remember to completely remove the tape and chin strap, and then open my mouth. Currently, I use my tongue to push the strip off my lips as I remove the tape.

While reading some of the old threads, I think there are a lot of PAPer’s using the strips. I hope some will add their experiences to this discussion. Before I added the strips, my controlling leaks was hit and miss.

I really envy the Pugsy’es of the world that train their tongues, or other anatomy to close off mouth access. When I get lip leaks, my mind creates a dream that incorporates breathing difficulties, and I wake up in a panic. I also envy the Chicago Granny’s and Julie’s of the world who seem to have readily mastered the FFM.

It has been years since I taped but a chin strap was also needed.

Last night I had a towel handy and a pre-cut extra piece of tape. Woke up after an hour or so with the first tape loose from saliva. Dried my face and put on the 2nd piece. Woke up in the morning and a small section had come unstuck. It had been enough to leak air all night but not enough to wake me up.

Dry mouth, dead tired yet again. 4 months in and NOT ONE SINGLE GOOD NIGHT'S SLEEP.
Phillips 960 AutoSV Paving Brick, Phillips Dreamwear Mask - Nothing is working.
Diagnosis of crappy sleep, desats under 80, maybe UARS

This morning I remembered to do the experiment. The strips did not stick too well. An order of magnitude less than the tape. I consider the strips serving as a barrier to keep saliva from loosening the tape.

btw, it doesn’t take much mouth leaking for me to get a very dry mouth. I rarely suffer dry mouth.

I have noticed that, prior to "spewing rainbows",
my mouth produced massive amounts of saliva.
No idea if this is common, but it might unstick tape.
