Yep. I had this problem, too. The machine was plugged in behind my bed. The plug was a little loose and pillows would push it around (no headboard, so the bed tends to slide away from the wall a little and pillows fall in the gap).

I changed where it was plugged in--problem solved.

I think this is quite possible. Can you block access to the off/on switch such that it takes some effort to turn it off? Why is it necessary to turn the machine off and on to fix leaks, anyway?

Nope, it's definitely not me doing it. After looking at Sleepyhead, I see it happens each hour at the same time. Like one night it was 1:53, 2:53, 3:53, etc.
I turn it off when I fix leaks for 2 reasons: 1) I learned the hard way that it hurts like hell to get a jet of air in your eye which is what happens if I pull the mask away from my face while it's on, and 2) I'll be able to see on Sleepyhead what happened at the time of the leak - usually its pressure going up.
