I don't think my nostrils are that huge that I need the large but I guess I will see. It is probably also more of a problem with the tightness of the straps not being right. I am a stomach/side sleeper as well so I sure that is messing up stuff. I didn't realize this was going to be so hard.
I didn't think my nose was that large either, but I noticed a big difference in my *comfort* going from Medium to Large pillows. Finding the right mask is often the most frustrating part about learning to live with CPAP, but you're doing great. Keep going!
That's odd--I would think that the part of the cushion that surrounds the outside of your nostril would provide a good seal, no matter what size the air holes are that go into your nostrils. I would have thought the problem would be more likely to be feeling like you couldn't get enough air. Huh. This is interesting. I learn so much on this forum!
Thank you both for posting!

You are so right. Yeah. It felt a lot better last night. And everything stayed in place better even though I changed to sleep in various positions. I had half the amount of leak I had the nights previously. I guess my nose is huge. Hahaha.

The M sealed just fine and was the one my RT fitted me with, but yes it simply felt like I didn't get enough air. Really didn't understand the sensation until I sized up to the L partially because my nose was so sore, but when I tried to switch back down to the M once my nose healed, I realized how much easier it was to breathe with the L. And since it's not about how "piggy" my nose looks but about how well I sleep, I stick with the large!

I totally understand that! It's a horrible sensation to feel like you are not getting enough air! I am so glad you found the right size to get the best therapy!
