Please forgive me for asking such a broad question, as well as this being my first image that I post. But I have been CPAP for right at 6 months, I have lost weight-(down 32 so far with about 15 more to go). I have been sleeping with my ResMed 10 for 6 months straight and a Full Face Mask for a good 5 months. Just recently I adjusted my humidifier to be on auto, I used to have it on 2 to save the water. My minimum is 6 and my maximum 14 if that helps, and I haven't ever adjusted anything since my Dr. prescribed
I am not sure if the equipment need to be changed as often as they say they need to be changed?
Here is the data from the sleepyhead

The numbers looks great.
How are you sleeping and feeling?
Any problems?
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Thanks for the vote of confidence.
Sometimes I can't sleep at night-(maybe once every 3 weeks I wake up every couple of hours). I think one night I woke up sweating.
As far problems I don't believe I have any...don't recall if I ever get into REM-(Sleeps that I remember dreams), and most of the time when I put my mask on I am out in 20-30 minutes tops.

Have you ever tried moving your min. pressure setting to e.g. 6, or even 7 (still very low as things go)? Just about all of us can't inhale at 4, though docs who don't umnderstand the machines well - believe they can catch up with any apneas even if those are at a high level (they can't) - so we bump the min. setting up a bit, and often go on to raise it higher in future. If you're sure you're being fully treated at 4, I suppose you could leave it there, but if there's any doubt, you can experiment for 1-2 nights and see how you feel after that.

The fact that you don't remember dreaming is actually a good thing.
We don't/won't remember dreams unless we wake up during one. To remember one means you woke up during one and wake ups need to be kept to a minimum.
It is normal to wake at the end of a REM cycle though. Normally we roll over and go right back to sleep but sometimes were are alert enough to remember the awakening.
Julie...the minimum pressure is already 6 cm.
The 4 cm you see as a minimum is nothing more than the drop because of exhale relief.
I may have to RISE but I refuse to SHINE.

Makes more sense... couldn't imagine how he was doing so well at 4.

Without seeing more data it is hard to know but my guess is that an increase in the minimum from 6 to 7 would improve the numbers from very good to great. Maybe. Maybe not. At some point, I would try it for a week.
