I long suspected that this was "normal", but sometimes you just don't really want to SHARE . . .

I also look forward to the nonsensical thoughts right before sleep. It's a good feeling since you know you will be checking out soon. Another thing that happens for me at the same time and indicates that I'm about to sleep is an over all body relaxation and numbness; the nagging pains seem to disappear.

The yoga stuff bored me by the 2nd class, I went to a 3rd and that was it. The mind-clearing thing was the only thing I got out of it. I do Tai Chi instead.DeadlySleep wrote:I took a yoga class. Started waking up with bad headaches and bad neck aches. Was dreaming about salamba sirsasana. Dropped out of class. Headaches and neck aches went away.
There's a self-hypnosis thing that's also supposed to be helpful, but it's a YMMV. The meadow/forest worked for me so I stuck with it.
Sugar...before bedtime... sigh. These days I'd have to give myself a shot of insulin and then I'd stay awake wondering if I took too much and will now get a low.

I find I wake up if my sugar crashes, I keep Reese Cups and Hershey Kisses on the table besides my XPAP, problem solved.... Jim Usually I.m good at guessing, but we both know it's a crap shoot!

Instead of sugar, my addiction for pork rinds has no effect on my blood sugar.

Depends on how many you eat, and what you wash them down with!
