Lower score

Post by A MESS » Fri Oct 13, 2017 6:40 am

Strange. Got a high leak score today 35 on res med , but the same same low AHI score of 2.5. Yes had mouth open--dry as a bone today. Does it really matter if your mouth is open?

If you are using a nasal mask, and your mouth is open when your airway closes, the air will go out your mouth rather then down your throat. Might as well take the mask off completely. The machine can't do any good if it is easier for the air to go out your mouth.

If you use a full face mask, the mask will pressurize, and the cpap can do its job.

Who would have thought it would be this challenging to sleep and breathe at the same time?

Then why was my ahi score still very low? 2.5 Seems it would be very high

Because the machine might not have been able to sense events and record them.
The low AHI might simply be the machine being clueless as to what was happening during the time of big leaks.
It might also be that nothing happened but when having big leaks there is no way to know for sure if the data is accurate or not.

You need to learn how to evaluate the leak graphs.
If you want our help in evaluating the software leak graphs you will have to share with us an image of that report...which means you will have to be logged in to your member account because you can't post links to your images unless you are logged in.

If the leak is bad, the machine cannot accurately determine events. Also, if the leak was fairly short, then you could still have a decent average for the night.

How to share images of your reports so we can see what you are seeing.

How to organize the graphs...3 pages...be sure to read all 3
https://sleep.tnet.com/resources/sleepyhead/shorganize

We DON'T want all the graphs...just the basics
See this thread for examples. You can get all that is needed on one image.

YOU HAVE BEEN TOLD THIS MANY TIMES OVER THE PAST WEEK....You registered on 9/22 as AMESS with no space between A and MESS. At that time you enterred a password....NOW.....You need to Login in the upper RH corner of this page using your registered name...AMESS, and your password. A kindergarden child could follow these directions....hopefully you will be able to.

You are already registered...quit trying to register again.
What you need to do is log in to the account that you regsitered which is
AMESS
and then supply the password you set up when you registered. If you forgot the password there is a link available so they can email the password to you.

Now all she needs is a kindergarten child, to log-in for her. We could do it for her, but our arms are too short to reach her keyboard, then she will also need to figure her name and password she assigned it.

And NO, the site can't resend it to you, it's encrypted! Jim

Actually the password can be sent via email if someone forgets it.. I have done it myself.
The password can also be changed if a person wants to change it. I have done that also.
This is why registered member forum accounts are tied to a valid email address (and that can be changed also as I have done that too).

At what point do we give up? She obviously cannot understand the simplist instruction. Send her to the Apnea Board..."They're nice over there."
