If the vinegar doesn't do the trick, it's the perfect excuse to invest in the "water of life".

My resmed guide recommends replacing the water, and cleaning the nasal piece every night. Then for the hose and tank once a week. I sometimes just use the same water for a few days straight. If that happens I take it out of the machine and leave it slightly open so it gets some air. As for the hose, I use regular dish or hand soap, then rinse it with water with my shower head on high pressure. I also sometimes have my air purifier blow into the hose opening to dry it out faster.

So Clean vs. hand washing. Depends on how sickly you are. I seem to get everything . I went for the So Clean, and do not want to be bothered washing it by hand or tub or whatever. So far no regrets and no washing .

Eeeeew.
Dead microbes are still microbes, just DEAD ones
--no wonder the silicone turns yellow.
Pretty sure something will SMELL sfter some point.
Simply gross!
What is good for my spoon and fork (which carry my food to my mouth)--is good enough for my cpap.
I wonder if anyone is so lazy they put their eating utensils into the SC?
I bet their food would get an "off" taste.
Some people might never notice--hot sauce comes in JUGS.

I'll bet if they do the fork tangs are filled up. Jim

You mean there's something written by a technical writer in CYA mode that should be *news* to people that've been doing this for years?

Why do the idiots that *promise* to leave, turn out to be liars?

She can't even figure out how to transfer an SD card from her machine to her computer, why confuse her with the Notso Clean Machine.

Everyone has strengths and weakness. The Wolfpack attack and devour here is pitiful. People come here for help because they don't know something. Making fun of those that don't know something is lower than whale shit. Thank God there are some people here who want to help those who know less than themselves.

Your sentiments are right, but there is something to be said for learning to use Google, let alone all the info provided on the forum (top half). It's one thing to not know something, including even what the questions are, but it's another to keep asking for baby step spoonfeeding.

What's going on in P. Rico is outrageous and the prez is telling them (from his golf club!) to do things themselves, but they have no way to do that from all acounts and need every oz of help that's out there... not at all the same thing though as someone who snows the forum with every bit of whatever comes into her head all day because she won't even try to learn or do at all.

Julie wrote:Skip the hose entirely - pointless - and add to water rather than emptying just to re-add, but if you use distilled, you shuoldn't have a problem, though examine weekly for pinkish stuff possibly in corners and use a Q-tip to remove, then rinse. Baby wipes on the silicone of the mask weekly will keep it lasting longer than daily soap and water.
this is what I do too. Only thing slightly different on the recommendation of my DME supplier is once a week I slosh some distilled white vinegar around in my humidifier tank and rinse it out. Have never had any growth of anything. Not sure if its the vinegar or just luck but either way it can't hurt anything.

Not everyone is looking for help--nor are they looking to give help.
Some are raspy voices of frustration and misinformation, demanding recognition, and not caring who they harm.
They know who they are by now--they have been told enough times to give rise to rational thought.
Immunity, alas!
