Difference in Manuals/Clinicians vs. Patient

Thank you all for your support and help as always. You are all amazing. I have just ordered the Air Sense for Her Auto-Set and Pugsy graciously sent me the clinician's manual that I have downloaded at work in color. The question I have is this: What is the difference between the Clinician's Manual and Patient's Manual? I know the Clinician's Manual shows how to change settings. I assume the Patient manual will come in the box with the machine. Is the Clinician's Manual more complicated in directions or the same as the patient manual? Is the only difference between the two that the Clinician's Manual shows you how to change settings? Thank you very much.

Thank you Julie. I guess it is better to have the clinician's manual especially when I am not going through insurance or a DME and pretty much "winging it."
CPAP.com will set the settings according to my prescription so that will be helpful. But I am glad I have the manual just in case they "set it wrong."

There are many differences between the manuals, one is for patients and tells the patient the mundane day to day things, and the other is for the clinicians, who already know the mundane day to day things, but need to know more about how the machine operates, and different modes and the meaning of those modes.

Instead of asking, why don't you just look through both?

There is usually 3 manuals with patient owned/ran medical equipment.
User: To operate the machine as needed without the patient harming themselves.
Clinical: Setup of the machine toward the patient needs, don't want the patient changing settings that will harm themselves. Like blowing an alveoli.
Service: Tells how to fix it after the patient drops it on the floor.

where do you get the service manual ?

Your attend their service school; then you get a manual and access to their service website for programs, updates, service parts, etc. Even DME employees, RT's can't get access to service website unless somebody has loss lips.
