NAPAonline.com has a number of chargers available. Take a look at them before you go for this one. I think it's more money than what you need to spend. I use a marine deep cycle battery from Costco, 115 amp-hr. It'll run my S9 Autoset w/ humidifier up to 4 nights, especially if I remember to disconnect the inverter during the day. The inverter apparently draws some power even when turned off. If you're going to use the battery only occasionally the NAPA 2 amp trickle charger will work good. It costs about $35, I think. I use one on my motorcycle and ATV batteries and the marine battery to keep them topped off. It won't overcharge the battery. One thing I learned is you cannot fast charge a deep cycle battery like you can a starting battery. It'll take almost all day to charge back what you discharge during the night.J4900 wrote:OK, now for batteries. It seems like "jumpstart" packs are popular because you get a sizable lead-acid battery and charging all in one package.
However, running a VPAP all night long is a "deep cycle" type of load. Since these packs are sold for jump starting, don't they contain a "starting" type battery that is optimized for brief starts and then recharging?
Just like the "starting" battery in a car, it seems like this would soon deteriorate if a steady load was applied for long periods between charges.
Or maybe the battery is a "marine" style that supports both steady loads (trolling) and high loads (starting the boat engine). As I understand it, a "marine" battery is a hybrid with both deep cycle and starting characteristics.
I am thinking I may buy a premium AGM battery and a Battery Minder to charge and maintain it.

A large investment. Any suggestions appreciated.

Thanks for the info!

The resmed S9 plug is similar to many computer plugs but the pin out is different. If you use a computer cord you will damage the power supply on your resmed

The Resmed power plugs for S9 and for Airsense 10 are NOT interchangeabe with one another,
---or anything else! They are completely proprietary.
Any substitution ensures disaster.
Nice business plan.

I've never seen anything else using the resmed s9 plug, though it is something you can get from a well stocked supplier.Jmizell2 wrote:The resmed S9 plug is similar to many computer plugs but the pin out is different. If you use a computer cord you will damage the power supply on your resmed
