ear problem. Help.

I am reading everyones posting. I , too am having ear trouble and developed Asthma. The first audiologist I went too. Said my ears looked clean and not infected but they were so plugged ,like your fingers pushed into them. I ask if he thought the Bipap pressure could be the culprit. He said he wasn't sure but wondered what the long term use would do. So I think as an older Dr. he had a feeling studies would show some changes. For the virus I had z-pak , antibiotics, tubes inserted . My ears have not cleared up and it has been2 years. So , yes I do believe Or I do know that the is a change in my ears and I ,too think if a survey were taken there would be a big percentage of people agreeing.Have you had a survey on her regarding this. Iwas a member of this chat/talk board wh en I first started actually it helped me survive getting used to the process. Since 2006. Then I dropped out for a number of years and am now here again. This board is very beneficial to apnea patients.

I have a full feeling in my ears and wake up with them wet every morning. I tried the plugs used for flying but they didn't seem to help. I didn't leave them in the entire night because they hurt. I think lowering my pressure may have helped somewhat but I am tired of feeling fuzzy headed and dizzy. I hope someone comes up with some answers.

If you get desperate enough, an Oracle oral mask, used properly, doesn't put pressure in your nose or your ears. I found it uncomfortable because it dried out my throat and the lack of airflow through my nose bothered me.

I checked the oracle. I know for sure it wouldn't work for me. I wish it would since it sounds like a good solution....I guess not desperate enough yet.

Checked it or tried it? Why do you say it wouldn't work for you?

I have not tried it on because watching it on videos was enough. I can't imagine wearing something like that. There is too much contact with skin in and outside the mouth and I know it would bother me. I tried using a mouth guard years ago and it bothered me as well. My Eson has been better since I have lowered my pressure. I have been able to loosen it up without worrying about leaks.

Yes, your are not crazy. I thought it was just me. Also when I adjust my humidity I get water pouring out of my ears. Also dry skin in the ear canals. I have psoriasis and they tried to tell me it was in my ears. I don't buy it. If you find anything please post. I'll do the same. Good luck

Use a 50/50 mixture of apple cider vinegar and hydrogen peroxide,fill ear canal let stand until the bubbling sound subsides and repeat as nessary. The vinegar deals with the fungal aspect of it and the peroxide handels the bacterial aspect.

Just wondering if anyone can tell me if Cpap use can contribute to ear infections/problems. I use my cpap machine faithfully.

About a month ago, the skin inside my ear canal started to feel different, itched, and started peeling. I've tried not to scratch it but still I do. Its been going on too long and now it is starting to ache a little. Maybe a "two" on a ten scale. It is not a open sore but sure feels like its headed that direction. I thought maybe it was some sort of ear fungus when the skin started peeling but I don't really know what it is.

I am heading to the health clinic but thought I'd get some insight first and I tell them about my ear problem and cpap use. I've never had (adult) ear problems but feel like my use of a cpap machine has caused this recent problem somehow.

Anyone have a problem like this before?

itching and peeling wont be cpap caused

soreness could be caused if the air pressure messes with the tubes but is not that common
