Help Request-Pugsy and all!

Post by cdnduck » Thu Sep 14, 2017 3:22 pm

To all and Pugsy:

While good news is my headaches have disappeared. But since I have been checking Sleepyhead, I have notice a few items and I thought I would share with all. Here are the stats from SH last night along with the last 6 months average:

Stat Last Night Last 6 months
AHI 0.47 0.37
Avg Pressure 9.59 2.73* Last 30 days was 10.29, last 7 days was 10.59
95% Pressure 11.53 12.22
Avg Leaks 16.06 3.79 Last 30 days was 13.04, last 7 days was 12.30
95% Leaks 28.8 30.00

Pugsy/All what does this tell us? I'm thought I was due for a new machine, but I must wait till Oct 26th. For the last couple of days, I feel GOOD! Should I be alarmed at anything? I have the same brand and model of mask (ResMed Mirage FX)

Thanks all really do appreciate any input. As noted, I feel better than a week ago, however for the last 3.5 years outside the last month or two I felt great. BTW, I just changed my water tank, mask cushion, hose and filter (within the last 4 weeks)

All I see on those numbers is normal variations and nothing standing out pointing to being a problem.
Your AHI is nice and low.
Your pressure numbers vary but that is to be expected but they are really minor variations.
Your leak numbers aren't real exciting either. They can vary widely and it not mean much.

All that 95% numbers (leaks or pressures) tell us is where we were at OR BELOW for 95% of the night and by default higher for 5 % but we don't know how higher.

What are you looking for help with? How do you think the new machine will help?

Thanks to all. No the only reason why I'm getting a new machine is my five years are up. I need a spare machine when I travel so my timing is good. I just wanted to know if you guys/girls saw anything wrong with my numbers. The only thing I can think of as to why I was waking up with a headache is the clear rubber gasket that goes around the inside of the water chamber. I didn't know, but there must be a small ridge that fits in-between the edge of the gasket that must hold the top of the machine once you close the door.

Somehow something must have started a home in there, as i have washed the gasket many times with no luck. (Within the last 2 months). I took the gasket off this past weekend when i notice this valley between the two ridges existed. After having cleaned that out, and re-assemble, my headaches went away. I have had a sensitive nose for my entire life and somehow I didn't realize this "ridge-valley-ridge" existed.

Thanks to all again.
