A Reminder Of The Limits Of A Free Speech Forum

Post by johnnygoodman » Thu Jul 20, 2017 1:37 pm

Howdy,

This board exists to help CPAP users. It is founded on the idea that free speech allows this to happen.

There is a minimum level of decency and respect needed to have civil discourse and remain free.

Please support the mission of this forum and the freedom we enjoy with your actions and words.

Thank You,
Johnny

Unfortunately, the only legal limits on free speech are classified information, confidential information, libel, slander, and sometimes incitement to violence. We do not even seem to be able to have "fake news" law at this time.

As a noob to the forum, I appreciate this.

This is an excellent forum and there seems to be an interpersonal war going on...doesn't look good to outsiders. And, as a new insider, it's a little embarrassing.

It's nice to be nice but, at the end of the day, it's about help with Xpap.

My recommendation: be nice to each other. Life is just way too short to get upset about other people's (who you don't even know) opinions or word use.

Thanks for the awesome forum!
