Here's the thing since I bought my own machine,, I have no one helping me learn how to use it,set it up, It came preset reading manuals and reading what you people say is all I have, I might be naive and frustrated but I am trying,
The clock on the sleepy head software sys I go to be at 1900 hrs and goes till 23?? how is that covering the whole night? I have rechecked the clock on it 4 times, and then I still have to learn how to read the results which I will learn later, One thing at a time. results make no sense to me either, So I need to go slow and figure this out on my own, or choose a different software thats not so hard to do for me.
Maybe most of you had someone explain things to you I dont know, All I know is while I dont feel well I am trying to do my best to understand this, which right now I dont give a crap.
Im taking a break until someone can remember what it was like being new at this and hoping they had someone explained it to you. I am not an idiot, Its just new to me and I dont feel up to dealing with it, for now
Ill figure it out on my own for now,, thx anyways or I wont

Just guessing there's something behind this post - like someone has been less than patient in other posts with your efforts. It is a lot to learn. I had to keep my early learning to a need-to-know basis to keep from being overwhelmed. Shoot, I STILL get that way sometimes. Even though I've downloaded multiple software programs through the years, I still get intimidated thus have not yet installed Sleepyhead on my latest laptop. Just the thought of it causes my brain to lock up, even though I know on the other side I'll wonder what was the big deal. It's not like I haven't done it before. Take your time. And let us know if you have some specific questions we (or should I say someone else ) can help you with.

It's ok to take time out and let what you've taken in so far sink in, before you tackle anything more. There's no race to the finish line here. Do what you can, when you can. You choose.
I'm 8 months in, but I didn't load Sleepyhead until maybe 4? months ago. I had enough to work on just getting used to the feel of the air pressure and the headgear/mask, figuring out a cleaning cycle, and all the etc.
Take your time,
Jean

Shutting, with careful fingers and benign,

most of these people have been at it for years, when you can read a thread and work out who is full of it, you know you are along the learning curve.
the clock day goes from 12noon to 12noon, so to change time, you need to take that into account, it may take a few days to get the time right, doing smaller adjustments.
for a more civilised, moderated forum, I would go here

In other words, if you sleep past noon (by your cpap's clock), you will only see the data for the period after noon.
Some machines cannot be reset without wiping your data--some not at all.
Just proof that the manufacturers hate us. They already got our money--go figure . . .
Sleepyhead should help.

MssDarla, I can emphathize with you. There's so much to learn, and it can be overwhelming.
I started CPAP therapy February 2016 and felt totally on my own. Doctor's office told me to talk to the DME if I had questions, and the DME was only interested in my compliance, not how to make CPAP work for me. I finally found this and other forums and tried every tip that I thought could help (tighten the straps, loosen the straps, tape my lips closed, don't tape my lips closed, use a full face mask/nasal mask/nasal pillows, wear a small backpack in bed to keep me from laying on my back, etc.) I learned there is no "one size fits all" solution, just kept on trying, kept notes on what worked and what didn't work, and tried to not make too many changes at once. I was determined that I would figure this out.
Somewhere along the way, I found that it was working, that I could sleep through the night. Some nights are better than others, and I'm still fiddling with minor adjustments to equipment, but it's paying off. Masking up at bedtime has become just part of my routine, like brushing my teeth.
Please don't give up. It will get better, maybe not immediately, but in time it will.
