One with high premiums!!!!!! You get what you pay for, sometimes, most are set by medicare rules, but if you are paying the premiums they can add more, and take more of the money.xxyzx wrote:==========Slinky wrote:Actually, with MOST insurances you are eligible for a new hose every 30 days. Which is ridiculous, no one needs a new hose every 30 days - BUT - that hose you have that had the little black dot that looked like mold? I'd toss that baby in the trash immediately and get a new hose!!!
I do remove my hose from mask and machine each day and hang it over the bedroom or closet door to thoroughly dry - just from the moist, humid air from my humidifier. I've never had a problem w/rain out.
what insurance is that
i need to switch
mine does a hose every 6 months

question. Wouldn't letting the machine dry it skew the #'s on the software?
I would clean mine more if I could get the answer to that I have always wondered
The cool down function does not skew the data but it does add to the machine total run hours.
If your machine doesn't have a cool down feature, remove the humidifier (or the water from the humidifier) and turn it on. Set a timer and shut it off when the timer goes off. You will end up with a separate session that shows high leaks and it will add to your compliance time, if you need to track that.

You are CORRECT, it SHOULD, for $300 it should also CLEAN as it's name suggests, Too Bad it doesn't.jsielke wrote:At risk of once again starting a war. Have to chuckle every time I read a comment about how the SoClean cleans this and that but they have never tested it themselves. There is a test called the VA soil test which is required of anything called a cleaner in the medical field. Think your SoClean can pass? Look up the test and give it a try, we will be standing by for the results. Want to do the shortcut version? Stick some peanut butter in your hose and run a soclean cycle, did the peanut butter disappear like magic?jsielke wrote:At risk of once again starting a war. On the edge of my seat waiting for the results.

I heard of a guy did try that test, the peanut butter was still there, but the found a picture of Jimmy Carter in the other end of the hose, glued on by peanut butter!flightco wrote:Have to chuckle every time I read a comment about how the SoClean cleans this and that but they have never tested it themselves. It is typical that a post made to help someone is met by name-calling. By the way, genius, it's spelled "unlicensed."chunkyfrog wrote:In order for the SoClean to be sold to unlicesed civilians, (idiots, included--as evidenced by who buys them)

OK, "unlicensed"--. Sometimes I miss a letter,
due to a TREMOR in my hand.
Proud of yourself?
And suckers ARE stupid!
Also, shills are the lowest form of vermin.
Be offended, if you like.
Nobody forces you to believe what you read on the internet.
