I think you've provided no useful information for anybody to do anything but guess.ZubeDude wrote: Before I go into whether I should continue CPAP, does anyone think apnea is really my problem or is it more a combination of things?
install sleepyhead, load the data from your machine, and post a few days worth of charts.
instructions in my sig.
Get OSCAR
Accounts to put on the foe list: dataq1, clownbell, gearchange, lynninnj, mper!?, DreamDiver, Geer1, almostadoctor, sleepgeek, ajack, stom, mogy, D.H., They often post misleading, timewasting stuff.

Guessing is fine with me, because that is all I have to work with.

Hi ZubeDube,
I am going to defer to the experts on your cpap issues. But coming off of the Ativan too quickly might be a contributory factor to your sleep issues as withdrawal symptoms can sadly do that. You might want to go to http://www.benzobuddies.org to see if anything is applicable to your situation.
Best of luck.

Thanks 49er. I have been off Ativan since June 2016. Sorry for the confusion.

Re: Help with Adjusting to CPAP
Try adding a high quality magnesium supplement to your daily diet. There are times when magnesium helps smooth out heart rhythm irregularities.
Caution: If you take too much you will end up sitting on the toilet all day. Don't take that much.

You do have more to work with.ZubeDude wrote:Guessing is fine with me, because that is all I have to work with.
Your machine has an SD card which contains data documenting your sleep issues and how the machine is responding.
Download sleepyhead and insert your SD card into your computer. Then you can post your data and receive good advice based on data.
If you refuse to help yourself, no one can help you.
EDIT: I just saw your other thread about obtaining an SD card. Are you sure there is not one already in the machine???
EDIT: My guess is that your heart issues are greatly due to sleep apnea - mine were. Sleep on your side. Put a large pillow behind you to keep you on your side.

Re: Help with Adjusting to CPAP
Thank you. I have been trying to figure out the root cause for a year and a half now. I have been to 50+ doctors, 3 sleep doctors, and several shrinks. Everyone is guessing!

Re: Help with Adjusting to CPAP
Your machine settings could be far from optimal, your mask could have high leak, you can have one or two bad sleep hygiene habits ...ZubeDude wrote:Postby ZubeDude on Fri Jun 30, 2017 2:54 pm
I haven't had a successful night yet on CPAP yet.
Data might help. Striking out at people who want to help you is not productive.
Re: Help with Adjusting to CPAP
I realize that I'm projecting out of frustration. My apologies. I'll upload some sleepy head data soon for your thoughts. Thank you all!
