Well, well, well:
Guest!
You have done Melissa a disservice by holding her accountable for the statements that others made on this thread. I think that was the major source of her frustration. She has a point, in that regard!!!
And, being accountable yourself includes being willing to take personal messages, signing in with equipment that you use, and sharing as a fellow hosehead. I have defended the "guest" posting ability through our recent SPAM discussions, because sometimes DME provider employees use that medium to share sensitive, yet important, information. Sharing such information would possibly put their jobs in jeopardy.
Of course you are welcome to post here and to say anything that you wish to say. It just doesn't mean as much if you are not registered because we do not know that you are credible. This is especially true if you give inaccurate factual observations.
So, if you wish to post as a guest, then please feel free to do so. But, should you wish to be taken as a colleague, we will have to see some more responsibility for what you say. How do we even know that the "Guest" postings by you ARE all by YOU?
That is my opinion. Please think about it, if you would. Thank you.

I called my DME (APRIA RIPOFF)
Asked them about getting a new machine that had Cflex. they wouldn't give me one. I went to my Dr. that wrote my cpap prescription. Told her what was going on and the difference in prices she wrote me a new prescription and sent a copy to Cpap.com and the rest is history.

I called my DME and asked if I brought the card from my Remstar Pro 2 if they would read my card for me and they refused. So I asked them to have the Resp. Tech call me back that was on Wed.. They have yet to call me back. they also said that I had a Remstar plus from them and it didn't have a card and that being as I now owned my machine they were no longer responsible for anything having to do with my treatment. My insurance rented it for ten months And i know I own the machine. Also being as I bought my machine form some one else they wanted to know where I bought it.
Last month I found out that my DME was also bill me for equipment that is covered under my owcp claim. So I stopped payment on my co-pay check. So as far as I am concerned I do not owe them any more money.
So I guess the bottom line is APRIA SUCKS

I would call her in the afternoon or late morning. This gives her enough time to look into it before the end of the day. I work in a doctors office and those are the best times to call. Call too early and it gets buried under emergency stuff. Call later and there isn't time to get it done.

Melisa's doc said, "Well maybe you'll get relief just from the c-flex and not auto. APAP is a more expensive machine so maybe you'll be willing to pay the difference. She can check with your insurance and all that."
Melissa, the above is none of your doc's damn business. If you believe in pay for performance, you won't pay this doc until she performs, which it doesn't look like she has done to date.

The bottom line is we are paying for these machines. And I think that being as we are paying for the units (by paying co-pays and insurance premiums) Should not the patient have the final say in what we are paying For???
