ResMed Air Mini - Initial Impressions

What annoys me is that with every model they change the tube and the plugs so nothing is compatible. I would love to be able to interchange tubing/nasal mask between my S9, 10 and the airmini, but of course I can't. And I invested alot of money in a Resmed battery to serve as backup and to use for camping, and of course that won't be compatible with the mini, it will have its own new battery that will only work with that machine. Its like they took a page out of Apples playbook.

They tied our hosts hands and every one of their vendors who have to sell at the Resmed price and can't sell/send anything out of the country. The only thing you can do is vote with your wallet.

I think the mount might be a requirement. This thing is so light I can see it flying off a nightstand. Either place it in the drawer or use the mount to attach it to the bed rail or the option to hang it from the drawer of a nightstand.

I'd think sticking on some self-adhesive rubber feet would fix that. Industrial velcro too, perhaps.

In the US "Duck" is a brand of tape.
But I sure hope BB feels better - he came out of retirement for that.
I know nothing about Dick - but I think that is a sporting goods store.

Also there is the Army version "Ammo Tape", We used it for everything You would Duct,Duck, _uck, tape for Mainly used to tape Ammo Magazines (M-14) for quick change, handy if Charlie was counting your shots. Jim

I used my AirMini all night last night. Not sure if I'm going to like this not for the machine, but due to the mask. The inline filter/humidifier contraption is too close to your face. It makes the nasal pillows sit at a weird angle, which causes discomfort of your nose (I'm a side sleeper, so it may be related to my position). Will continue to use it over the next week and see how it is.

Here are sound (WAV) files from last night. Hopefully they work. They were created with a sound meter app and converted to WAV format via an online converter. I took my mask off at the end of each trial to show you what the leak sounded like. Phone was about 6 inches from mask.

One persons perception of sound has little to do with recording over a phone without a sound lab! Too many variables, including the person trying to determine
the level and whether it bothers them.
