Probably help, and you'll probably feel better making an effort to sleep on your side vs back.

Re: please help mild apnea ruining my life
Learn to type and use punctuation properly and you will feel better too. But as to the apnea question, you may feel better, but not necessarily. I read your symptoms as possible anxiety/depression as well as a multitude of other possibilities. Can you provide details of your sleep test? Was it at home, in a lab, screening type, full psg? How do you feel you slept, and how long did you sleep? What was the AHI and the RDI from the test. Are you on any antidepressant medications? How long have you had there symptoms?
But at 35 the good news is that if your symptoms are sleep apnea related, they likely can be treated and your life and how you feel can be improved to a great degree, so stay the course, and give the treatment a go, stay with it for a few months. Not everyone who see improvement sees it immediately, it takes a while for some, others see improvement in a day or two.

Re: please help mild apnea ruining my life
I recently just had tonsils & adneoids removed in hope to cure my sleep apnea. (tonsils were HUGE) I face the same symptoms, especially no interest in sex. its the worst, especially only being 21!! Hopefully it gets better.

Re: please help mild apnea ruining my life
Your symptoms sound like classic signs of sleep apnea to me. What we can't know is what other contributors there are to your particular set of symptoms since those symptoms can overlap with other health conditions. I would not put too much stock in the home study being wholly accurate regarding the severity of your case, but at any rate it has confirmed the presence of sleep apnea so treatment seems the next logical step. Would your doctor/insurance go aong with an in-lab study so that you can have more information upon which to base a life-long and expensive treatment decison? If your case is indeed mild, I would want to know things like if it is positional. If nearly all your events are while supine, you could possibly make some sleep position changes that would suffice. Based on your symptoms, I'm guessing treatment is in your future. If you do decide to "try" CPAP as your doctor suggested, the lack of more detail makes it important to have a fully data capable machine to monitor your treatment.

Re: please help mild apnea ruining my life
Although the lab test shows "mild" SDB, your symptoms say "severe" SDB. For the record, the opposite has also been reported.
Treat the disease and see if that helps! The more frequent the episodes, the longer the episodes, or the lower the blood oxygen, the worse it is. However, how much is how bad is really not known for SDB (or most other illnesses).
Assume you have a severe case, since your symptoms suggest that.
Also, anybody else reading this should not assume that (s)he has a mild case based on the absence of symptoms!

Uh... I'd be a bit careful whose advice you take here... and their take on what constitutes 'severe' anything. Seriously, at least get other opinions and proper testing (or retesting).
