Settings-Lightheaded

Post by rjgreen3 » Sun Oct 01, 2006 10:12 am

I changed the settings on my machine from 4cm to the prescibed 6cm and last night I slept very well for about 8 or 9 hrs; but I felt a little light headed for about 15 or 20 minutes

yep, give your brain the oxygen it needs and it slows down your heart rate and lowers blood pressure. The lower blood pressure is what gives you the lightheadedness.

if you are taking blood pressure medication, you need to monitor it more closely (suggest a Omron home PB monitor), the wrist type works okay if you calibrate it with your doctor's machine.

When I started on cpap 16 months ago I felt a little light in the head. (I know I'm gonna get hit with that one) my cpap pressure is 20 cm. but after a couple of days I felt like I could do hand stands and back flips. give it a couple of days.
