There will be 4 concurrent polls on different pillow interfaces. This is an effort to see if the chances of choosing a successful pillow interface can be improved. Please add any comments you have about the use of this interface after voting.
We will continue this poll for as long as it takes to get 25 votes unless that takes an unreasonably long time.

Works great for me, too. With the addition of a homemade strap and the swivel elbow on top cut off. If there were no such mask as my favorite - Aeiomed's "Headrest" (Aura), also "deconstructed" and used with homemade straps - the CL2 would easily be my favorite.

I voted for my CL2 experience as successful, although my success only lasted a couple of months, and it first required me to come up with the "fishing-line fix" which I posted about some months back.

Ultimately, the CL2 was a failure for me because after a couple of months the tips of my nostrils were not only chronically sore and scabbed over, but getting progressively worse. It took a couple of months on a much different interface, the Comfort Curve, before my nares recovered fully.

I think my problem with the CL2 had a lot to do with the fact that I have slotted nares, so my experience may be atypical.

Regards,
Bill

I didn't vote on this one, but I am watching the poll with much interest as this is the one I would like to try next since it seems so similiar in design to the Breeze and it would be nice to have an alternate to use from time to time if it worked as well for me as the Breeze.

i find the CL2 very comfotable& I can turn side to side without any leaks. Like Rested Girl I donot like the big swivel joint it gets in the way, but I wouldn't trade this mask for another because it has worked the best for me so far.

I tried a CL2 2 nights back but gave up. I plan to revisit it again soon.

I used a CL before that but have to agree that with Nighthawkeye's clever mod, it doesn't sit right.

My fav nasal pillows mask is an early version of the PB Adams Circuit. It just fits my profile really well. I don't like the hard bits of the band either side above my ears but all told it is a mask I can use for several nights before I revert to my UMFF.

The CL2 is very light - I will probably do what Rested Gal & Nighthawkeye have done & modify it a little.

If I were to compare with a Breeze, I would much prefer a CL2.

Hey folks, this is my first post, so bear with me.

I voted a success on the Comfortlie 2 mask, but it does make my nares sore. Maybe one day I will get the adjustment right and it wont do that any longer. I too removed the swivel from the top headpiece and it worked much better.

I intend on giving this mask a try from time to time and keeping it as a backup to my primary mask, the Swift.

I just can't keep the CL2 adjusted in angles and nozzle size to fit me. I can start a night with it but have never made it past the first couple hours. It seems too adjustable and won't stay in the necessary shape/location.

I've not yet tried RGs additional strap.
Also, I'm within a hairs bredth of maxing out the harness adlustments to max. length. Maybe they are too tight and causing some of my problems.

Since I use the SimpleCushion, I will not vote.
The CL2 w/SC worked great for months, but now I'm using a different mask for awhile due to leaks.
It is still comfortable for a side-sleeper, and the less-intrusive off all I've tried.

A Work in Progress

Post by nosbig-nosbig » Mon Sep 18, 2006 3:08 pm

Still tweaking the CL2.

The first thing that interfered with pleasant treatment was the swivel elbow, changed to a straight swivel and was able to get my feet back on the bed. So far, have gotten a full nights sleep only when using the simple seal. On two occasions I started the night with the pillows and ended up switching to the Activa after a few hours, experienced leaks and irritation.

The latest thing I've done is to install some shims between the angle adjuster frame and the headgear, to reduce the play between these parts. This seems to have resulted in a better fit and less leakage when using the pillows.

Don't have the direst seal cushion but might try it if I can't get satisfaction from the pillows.

Just got my vote in because I've been out of town for a few days. I think anyone who reads my posts knows that I love my CL2 with simple cushion and extra strap for stability.

This survey was intended for nasal pillow interfaces. I think surveys will be conducted for both nasal cushions and full-face mask interfaces in the near future.

I voted failure. I found the mask to be too heavy for me. I have neck issues and could not tolerate it. I even gave it another try 3 months later, but still felt it was too heavy for me.
