F 10 Advice Needed
F 10 Advice Needed
I have used the F 10 FF for about 3 years now with no problem. The last two weeks at about 4 hours into my 7 hour night my mask is waking me up with leaks and the associated noise. I maintain my mask, change the cushion out monthly and have a pressure of 12 on a Dreamstation. Since I am getting about 4 hours I am hesitant to start tightening the straps during the night. Any suggestions greatly appreciated.
Re: F 10 Advice Needed
I know everyone is different, but I average a 12 pressure and change my Quattro cushion, at about 9-10 months. Rarely wash it and only wipe it nightly with a baby wipe. I seem to have more leaks with a new stiff cushion than I do with soft pliable cushions.ala5081 wrote:I have used the F 10 FF for about 3 years now with no problem. Re: F 10 Advice Needed
I use the F10 with a Pad A Cheek cover. I just changed the cushion for the first time (only about 3 months into this), and it seems to seal better.
What really helped me starting out was a blog article "Taming the Mirage Quattro" ( http://tinyurl.com/2ft3lh8 ) by Janknitz (sp??). I was tightening the straps, but I actually gained a better seal by loosening them a bit. Also, the advice to only adjust while laying down was golden!
You might want to check your pillow and see if anything is changing the angle of your head while you sleep, because that will change how the straps tension around your head. For me, my head tends to droop towards my chest, even while laying on my side, and that loosens the bottom straps and allows leaks.
