For those unfamiliar with this poster (who hasn't been around in a while) don't waste your time - he's quite disturbed and nothing you say or don't say will be acknowledged or acted on, let alone much else.

Agreed. Julie is 100% correct here.

Hi swa17... sorry to hear you are having such a difficult time. Strokes can happen as a result of untreated sleep apnea, but we have no way of knowing if this happened in your case. As you know, none of us are doctors and have no idea what treatments are best for you. I hope you are working with a team of doctors who can answer your questions. I wish you well.

For those of us who realize the value of a positive attitude in our therapy and wellness,
there is a sobering reminder here.

I am usually a very understanding, patient and compassionate person, even ONLINE. This particular poster can try the patience of a saint. And sadly, I am dealing with a SWA17 in real life right now, making me super impatient with this type of person. Like SWA17, this person is having a medical issue, but will NOT listen to what anyone says, ignores what they don't like, refuses to follow even the most simplistic advice, by family or professionals, yet complains CONSTANTLY (and I do mean constantly) about their problem and brings it down on everyone.

You cannot help people like this. People that ask for advice, then refuse to listen, then ask the same question a million times more, and ignore the answer as many times as you give it. It sucks the life out of those trying to help.

All you can really do is minimize how much their behavior impacts you and in the end, you have to ignore them. Like the old saying goes - you can lead a horse to water, but cannot make him drink. And if these people keep refusing help, you got to stop trying to help them. Let the chips fall where they may.

A quick search found the following where SWA17 went off on chunkyfrog. Many of us have been the recipients of this type if vitriol. Some of them even worse than this one.

Who's the Professor, is it the one stranded on Gilligan's Island?
