Other than cleaning why? What item is broken? You shouldn't be able to buy any internal parts. Plus replacing many parts you have to run a calibration on it afterwards, also data may need reloaded before it will work again. Once you pop it open ResMed wants certain seals replaced. There are two versions of the main circuit board; if you have the older you have to replace the Cellular Access Module too. The outlet silicone seal is user/DME replaceable. It's the seal between the water chamber and outlet port. Part# 37310

Here is the Clinical Manual, but I don't think you will find anything to show you how to do maintenance or repairs.

What is broken?
Are you planning to cannibalize one to fix another?

I think that is for the S9 manual, not the S10.
I believe this is the S10 one. https://www.respshop.com/manuals/ResMed ... %20her.pdf

The link says "for her" but the manual is for both.

I have an out of warranty machine where the autostart function doesn't work. I would like basic dissembly instruction instructions and a good block diagram

When did the problem start?
How long have you been using the P10 nasal pillow mask?
What is your starting pressure?

the smartstart function is twofold, both sensing when you put the mask on and start breathing, and sensing when you take it off.

this function involves calculations from the flow and pressure sensors, when you put the mask on, the machine senses the tiny amount of flow that is caused by inhaling or exhaling, and starts up, when you take the mask off, it measures the greatly reduced pressure and increased flow, and tries to guess whether it's a bad leak or mask off.

when I first switched to the P10, I was disappointed that my machine didn't turn off by itself, then I remembered I'd forgotten the mask type setting, I changed that from full face to pillow, and it's been working ever since.

the smaller openings of the pillow mask didn't allow enough pressure drop for the machine to think "ah, mask off" compared to the larger opening and flow of the full face mask.

in other words, there's nothing you can do about this, because if either of the two sensors involved were faulty, the machine wouldn't run in the first place, it would fault and pop a service message.

The function worked fine for a long time and then stopped functioning

Smart start is NOT working with a full face mask as well as with pillows

I have another Air Sense 10 and the smart start function works fine with both the pillows and the full face mask

My settings are 4 for the starting pressure and 8 for the maximum pressure

PALERIDER - please put me in touch with the person you mentioned who has taken a bunch of these machines apart

When a PAP comes in with this issue I:
1. Check settings
2. Check for water/dust/dropped damage
3. Run a calibration
4. Change main PCB

The Air 10 is pretty tight in design there is only about a 1/4" between the sensors on the PCB and ports. If they didn't have a leak before, the silicone seals weren't messed with, or the PAP wasn't dropped; I would give it a 99.99% change a leak wouldn't just start on it's own. Take several deep breathes and see if it triggers on. If it does a re-cal is all it may need.

You probably shroud PM him using the button under his avatar. I doubt he would post that information publicly.

Can you send me a procedure for calibration (I am a Medical Engineer and should be able to follow the procedure accurately)
