Snoring with CPAP

I've noticed this week that I've been really tired during the day. Then tonight my Wife tells me that I've been snoring with my CPAP on.
Every day I wake up with the mask still on so I'm not sure what could be happening. I've been using the CPAP for 4 ish years without issues.
I'm going to try adjusting my mask straps tonight and try raising humidity as well.
My mask is a Mirage FX which is the model I've used for 3+ of my four years.

Any thoughts? Anyone have issues with snoring while wearing your mask?

Could be your mask is leaking or you need to bump up the pressure.

You will need to post some Sleepyhead charts to see what is going on.

You have been a member for 3 years...why not fill in your equipment profile...download Sleepyhead and show some data?

Let me guess because what you use and how it's set is unknown! You use a Nasal Mask, your treatment pressure may come out of your mouth. Or your machine may not be set well enough to give you treatment. We really need more info, but for not you may not be getting the good out of your effort. Jim

OK.. First I apologize that i had no equipment indicated. I've rectified that but here it is so you don't have to read it:
Machine: Devilbiss Intellipap Standard
RX Pressure: 6.0
Mask: Mirage FX
Heater: Intellipap Integrated

I've been dormant for years because I've really had no issues.

Regarding sleepyhead, I do not believe I have the ability to input data since I have no SD card. There's some number that I can get off of the machine but never have.
Why haven't I?: I've used this for years with really good results as far as I know. Never felt a need.

Why do I have a somewhat low end machine: I didn't do my research at first and used the DME who my doctor referred me to who took me for a ride. Wouldn't give me a different mask when I asked and a long line of items. As far as I know I'm tied to the machine for 5 years unless I pay out of pocket and again I've never had an issue. I now have a DME who I have no complaints with but haven't felt the need to approach him or my doctor for another machine.

All I was and am looking for are ideas. As I said, I'll be trying some adjustments tonight.
As far as pressure adjustments, I'll have to investigate how to program the machine since again I've never felt the need.

You don't have data to work with, I'd think about the mouth breathing, the air goes in your nose and leaks out of your mouth when you sleep. It causes lack of pressure in your airway, mouth dry out, leading to mouth health problems, snoring, ect.

The problem can be fixed by a good fitting FF mask, the trick is finding one that works for you.

You could also tape your mouth up, even use a chin strap, not very effective. Without a full data machine it's hard to see what is going on. Even bumping the pressure 1 cm for a few nights could help, rinse and repeat, just keep in mind too much pressure can cause central apneas, and other problems. Search for Mouthbreathing, on the forum. Jim

Worth trying. I worried that I'd have issues with this and even woke up a few times because of it during the first few weeks I used the machine. Haven't noticed anything recently but can try my strap and see what happens. I've never actually used it.

Also a good idea that I hadn't considered. I stepped on the scale and have gained a bit of weight. Been a stressful couple months :-/

I just put my Smart Code into cpap.com and got a report that din't tell much. Same code over the last four days but all it shows is 97% adherence. 7.5 hours last night.

My suspicion is that your pressure is too low.
And, if you're not already doing nasal cleansing before bedtime, try that.
"Snoring" can be a sign of nasal congestion......causing nasal snoring or if the nasal passages are congested, can lead to mouth snoring.
Regarding humidity........ Too much warm, humidity can also cause nasal congestion which can exacerbate snoring.

You should have multiple codes: 1 day, 7 day, 30 day, 90 day, and usage. You may also need your serial number (to verify your codes).

I think this is a very backward way to do this. I prefer to use SleepyHead but it seems that you can't use it with DeVilbiss machines.

Actually SleepyHead does work with some DeVilbiss machines but maybe not all models.
You are using a bilevel machine and it's real uncommon to find anyone using a bilevel machine other than ResMed or Respironics. If SH won't work with your machine I think it is likely because the guy who came up with SH never had data from a DeVilbiss bilevel machine to dissect and come up with a code that made SH compatible with a bilevel DeVilbiss machine.
