You can get the serial number off the Menu but not the DN code. You need both to register for myair.
From Resmed:
The device number (DN) is a 3-digit code that can be found on the label at the back of your device. It provides additional security and is similar to a CVV code on the back of a credit card.

"Do you think it is HOT?"
i think you answered your own question ^^^^^
Less than thirty hours on the SIM card does not necessarily mean less than thirty hours of actual usage.
As I already said,I don't believe that there is a market for hot CPAP machines!

The guy I got mine from says some insurance companies pay for the machines outright and don't require any compliance checking. He gets a lot of them when removing other medical equipment from the home. Mine doesn't check and my machine is mine after 8 months of rental. I've bought two nice low hour machines from him and he says he gets them quite often. It is not beyond imagination that some stop using the machine and just sell it to get some cash. Removing the serial number makes them feel like the insurance company can't trace it back to them.
Seeing and believing are often both wrong. FOW
