It's nowhere to be seen. There are no pictures either.
It's basically vaporware, which is in line with the range of Resmed products anyway.
It's a typical strategy to announce a product well before it's finalised, in order to appear to come first before competitors.

From what I understand the target market is HSA money bc this travel cpap will be designed so that it will not be covered by insurance. Supposedly, it will have all the comfort features of your home machine just in a smaller pkg. We shall see.

I am wondering how the mini can handle my humidity needs...I run out of water in 8 hours and that's with a 380 mL water chamber.
The water chamber would likely be bigger than the mini blower.
I wouldn't be surprised if the mini didn't have extra humidity offered or if they did it might be one of those diffuser things that capture the moisture in our own exhaled breath. When you go tiny you have to give up something.

no, you see... Resmed has made an incredible advancement... the mini actually goes IN your throat... it's so small, you just pop it in, so there's no effect on sinuses like regular machines, thus, no need for humidification!Pugsy wrote:I am wondering how the mini can handle my humidity needs...I run out of water in 8 hours and that's with a 380 mL water chamber.

As someone with a pretty nasty gag reflex...that idea isn't all that attractive to me for some reason.palerider wrote: the mini actually goes IN your throat... it's so small, you just pop it in, so there's no effect on sinuses like regular machines, thus, no need for humidification!
Now if they could make the blower teeny tiny and stick it on a mouth guard (like the TapPap) then I might be considering it.
Wouldn't it be nice...just wear a little mouth guard and have something blow air down the airway and you can totally lose pretty much everything else.
Not humidify my nose...not going to happen. My nasal mucosa are still mad at me today for running out of water last night.
Slept a little longer than usual. One thing I have noticed about the AirCurve..it is sure a water hog and we have been fairly humid the last few days.

Re: Resmed Cpap mini coming out
I'm definitely ordering one of these as soon as they are available. Traveling with a laptop, CPAP, and a carryon can be a tough task (CPAP has to go inside the carryon). The last time I traveled to CO, I didn't want to fool with it and packed it inside my suitcase I checked with Delta. (I travel with my old ResMed S9 Elite and have an AirSense 10 APAP I use at home).
Wonder if this mini version will be CPAP only or will also have APAP?

Re: Resmed Cpap mini coming out
Sorry I was just repeating what the rep said. Could it be price? Cuz you make a good point and he did say it would have FULL AHI data when asked. I don't remember but think he said it wouldn't have a humidifier. But yea other than price I have no idea.desiderata wrote:What (lack of) attributes do you think will disqualify it for insurance?Guest Also Posted As: (ejackson1200) wrote:From what I understand the target market is HSA money bc this travel cpap will be designed so that it will not be covered by insurance.
Don't forget most insurance won't pay for battery or travel accessories etc.
Guess we will have to wait n see but remember.... If it sounds to good to be true, it usually is.
