lud popping in tube

Post by miss snickers » Thu Mar 16, 2017 10:13 am

I have my temp at 72 and humidity at 4, but sometimes get a nasty popping in the tube or mask that wakes me up. I have the machine lower than the bed as provider suggested. Also keep tube under blanket with me, but still get the noise.?

That complaint is normally heard when there is water in the hose. Check it at the lowest point. Of course the 1st time you can remove the hose to see for your self. But just Lifting the hose will cause the water to run back into the humidifier.

Turning the humidifier down a tad can help. Just keep adjusting until it no longer happens.

I have a heated hose--it NEVER happens.

what they meant to say was "make the machine the lowest point, no dips in the hose below the machine.

But you are not sleeping in her room or breathing her air - are you?

If the temp selection is available then that means a heated hose is being used.
The loud popping is probably condensation in the hose. Easy fix....increase the hose air temp from 72 to something that prevents the condensation in the hose.
I don't know what temp that would be ...it varies depending on how cool your ambient bedroom temp is.

Just a little tiny bit of water in the hose can make an awful racket.

What is really needed is it to be uphill from the machine all the way to the mask, so the water can drain back to the HH. Jim
