Please help clarify

Hi everyone,
A older lady I know ordered the Amara View. Not sure who her supplier is. This is a new style mask for her. She sent me a note asking about something in the "warning sheet" The sheet mentions not using the mask without H2O she said. My friend asked me if that meant she needs to use it with a water tank?
After a little research on the Amara View I found a publication by Phillips Resperonics that says: "A minimum of 3cm H2O must be maintained to ensure the anti-asphyxia valve closes." Also, I looked up what this "cm H2O" actually means and think I am right in saying that it means that the minimum pressure on the CPAP machine needs to be at least set at 3. Am I correct? If so, then this has nothing to do with a water tank.

You are correct. The warning has to do with the pressure which is expressed in the cm H2O way.
It has nothing to do with the water in the humidifier chamber.

You're correct. The "3cm H2O" is referring to the CPAP pressure which is measured in "centimeters of water pressure". The amount of pressure it takes to raise a column of water that distance......3 cm.
