Sleepy Head quit recording
What the??? My Airsense Autoset hasn't recorded any thing since Jan 1st. Is the card full to where it won't update data? Or did I do something wrong some where after I went into the clinician menu?
HELP, need my data...

Re: Sleepy Head quit recording
Does the memory card have a sliding lock on it, and did you unlock it before putting it back in the machine? Even if so, I think the machine may have the data, and you will get it if you unlock the card.

Re: Sleepy Head quit recording
We all do silly things from time to time.
Quite a while back I was trying to get a download from one of those old smart cards. You know the ones that look like a credit card and required a special card reader....
well one day my software (Encore at the time) kept telling me that there was no smart card attached and I knew full well that there was.
I spent all day trying to figure out why the software couldn't find the smart card. It was finding the card reader just fine. I even reinstalled the card reader software just to make sure...no luck.
Spent all day and did a lot of cussing and finally just said screw it I am going to bed and pulled the smart card out of the card reader to go put it back in my machine.....it was then that I realized that I had put the wrong end of the smart card into the reader first. sigh...color me dumb ass.

Re: Sleepy Head quit recording
Since we're talking about problems, I finally got Sleepyhead downloaded on my Windows 10 Home edition, but it gave me an error message about a driver called OpenGL. Well, long story short, I finally figured out that there is a file called BrokenGL or something like that. So I executed it and thought everything was going to be ok. Well, when I began to load the data from the card, it stopped working and gave me this message that it had encountered a problem and had to close. So I had to click on the tab (as shown) to close it. What is the problem here?

Exactly which version of SleepyHead are you trying to use?packitin wrote:What is the problem here?
I am using Windows 10 and don't have a problem and never have had it crash...so I know it will work.
Where did you get whatever version you are trying to use?

If you did then the broken GL or open GL thing shouldn't matter with Windows 10.
What happens if you try to open and download now? Any messages or another crash?
You are using the DreamStation so I can't give you an older version of SleepyHead because this one is the only one that will work with the DreamStation.
If you can't get SleepyHead to work we can get you Encore Pro and it will work but it's a PITA too.

Re: Sleepy Head quit recording
Still no luck. I'm using the data card that came with my machine a few days ago. It said it could not format the disk (for some reason).
Then it said that "E: is an invalid directory" But I'm sure I have it in the right slot.
What's frustrating is that I had Sleepyhead working for several months using my old Bipap 750 series and didn't have a problem. But a few months ago I had a computer problem (crash) and had to get it repaired. It was so bad they said they had to reinstall everything, including the ones I told them I had to have (including Sleepyhead). Well, it has never worked since. I've been back to them, but no luck. (I'm beginning to wonder about this computer company)
Anyway, I'll try again tomorrow. Its too late now. I usually go to bed with the chickens.
Thanks for trying to help me.
I'll buy you a steak dinner if you ever come through this neck of the woods.
cheers

Okay. Tomorrow start with the basics.packitin wrote:I'll try again tomorrow. Its too late now.
First let's make sure that your computer can see the contents of the SD card in whatever drive your computer assigns to the SD card slot.
Do you know how to navigate to that drive letter and look in the SD card to see what's in it?
Second...open SleepyHead and see what you see in terms of messages, etc.

Re: Sleepy Head quit recording
I am confused about where you are at and what you attempted to do when you got the above message an
It looks like you were in SleepyHead for some reason and attempted to access E drive.
You don't launch SH Beta 1.0.0xxx from within the program like that...or at least shouldn't have to. The older version yes but not 1.0.0xxx.
So it looks like you navigated to inside SH. If E drive is where the SD card is plugged in and your computer can't see the SD card then there is a problem with the E drive and SH can't work unless it can see E drive.
This is one of those situations where it would most likely be easier for both of us if I could sit down in front of your computer and see what's going on.
I wonder if when the computer guys reloaded your computer if they reloaded the driver software for E drive.
I am not the greatest when it comes to verbally communicating how to do stuff in Windows 10. It is still a work in progress for me too.
Do you have a little manila folder looking thing on your taskbar at the bottom of your screen?
If you do click on it to open it and on the left side scroll down to where it shows the "this PC" stuff below the "this PC" and see if it shows E drive...note you need to have the SD card in the slot first.
This will be in the same list as the other drives on your computer like C drive or D drive.
If the computer doesn't recognize E drive (if that's the SD slot drive) then we are dead in the water until the computer can work with E drive. The problem may not be SH...it might be the SD card drive slot. That's why I wanted to get back to the basics and confirm that the SD card slot is working first before we go messing with SH.

Re: Sleepy Head quit recording
Sorry, I had to go out for a little while. I've done that and I get the message: Drive E: is not accessible.
So I've concluded that I need a new E: drive placed into my computer (I do not want to purchase a new one)
I can do that for not too much (I hope) at the computer store, which is only about a mile away.
I will get back to you as soon as I can to tell you that either I succeeded, or (horrors!) I may have to get a new computer (or a rebuilt old one)
But I've managed for the past few days since I have a new machine to use the Dreammapper, which doesn't do much more than what I find out on my machine.
At any rate, or now, thanks very much, Pugsy, for your knowledge and help.
bye (for now)

Re: Sleepy Head quit recording
It may be that all that is needed is for the driver software for the E drive needs to be installed.
The guys at the computer store should be able to do that easily.
Of course it is always possible that the SD card slot has died but most often when a computer has crashed and everything has to get reloaded the extra drives (like the E drive) still will work but just need the driver software installed.
I am not very good at instructions for finding that driver software though. I have only done it once and that was years and years ago. So I know it can be done but I can't walk you through it.
Once your computer can actually see the E drive (and thus the SD card) I imagine SH should work just fine for you. It needs to be fixed though no matter which software you want to use.
