Max Pres - 25.0
EPap Min - 15.0
EPap Max - 15.0
BPM - Auto
PS min - 5.0
PS max 10.0
Can someone explain these settings to me, they are my machine settings shown on the machine display, Have never been fully clear as to what each
Means, thank you in advance.

Your will attract more folks using your type of machine if you edit the subject line to include "ASV - " in the beginning so that it readsHurricane wrote:Can someone explain these settings to me, they are my machine settings shown on the machine display, Have never been fully clear as to what each

Always include the term ASV in your subject line to get to these same people.
In addition, since the board equipment display no longer will display the PR 960 ASV machine type, it will be better if you add it in the signature line section of the User Control panel.
Pressures are stated in terms of centimeters of water, the pressure that a water column so many centimeters high will produce. In your case, the maximum your machine can produce is 25 cm H2O. So the settings indicate that the range of pressure the machine will provide will be EPAP at 15 cm H2O and the IPAP will range from 20 - 25 cm H2O depending on what is happening with your breathing.
Max Pres - 25.0 : This is the maximum pressure that the machine is allowed to provide (25 cm H2O).
EPap Min - 15.0 : This is the minimum exhale pressure (adjusted by the current Pressure Support).
EPap Max - 15.0 : This is the maximum exhale pressure (adjusted by the current Pressure Support).
BPM - Auto_______This setting tells the machine that it will calculate the breath rate rather than using a fixed number
_________________to use as a benchmark when detecting a central apnea.
PS min - 5.0______This setting is used to calculate the inhale pressure (IPAP) while the machine is running.
_________________So, when first turned on, the EPAP is 15 cm H2O while the IPAP will be 20 cm H2O, (i.e., EPAP+PS).
PS max 10.0______This is the maximum pressure support allowed.
_________________In this case the maximum IPAP will be EPAP_min + PS_Max or 25 cm H2O.

Thanks JDS74,
Changed the subject line, appreciate you taking time to clarify my post. I have been in compliance using cpap, but was never totally clear on those numbers.

Re: "ASV _ BPM Auto, PS min 5.0, PS max 10.0 ????".
The Epap is the pressure that keeps your airway open when you are exhaling. Since min and max are the same that pressure will always be 15. My pressure is 9 min and 15 max so the machine will in erase the pressure above 9 if it senses that I am having an obstruction event. The pressure support is for your inhalation pressure. Which in your case is a minimum of 20 but can increase to 25. That increases if the machine senses a central event. So your exhalation pressure remains constant but your inhalation pressure varies as needed.

Thanks Bons,
Those numbers were put in when receiving new machine after sleep study and getting new machine, sleep nimbers are fairly good, nasal pillows can be sometime leaky, but all in all I'm ok, Thanks again for the reply.
