Favorite full face mask.
Favorite full face mask.
What is your favorite full face mask. I have the amara view right now and when I get it adjusted perfectly I love it but other nights I have to constantly fidget with it to keep it from blocking my nose. Looking for opinions on what everybody likes. Has anybody used this https://www.cpap.com/productpage/respir ... dgear.html Looks a little intimidating.
Re: Favorite full face mask.
It's supposed to leak a lot, but on the right face, it may be perfect.

I had one of those briefly. I gave it away before I had a chance to test it. The sleepweaver anew is very comfy.

I had a chance to try the FitLife. I never could get it to seal more than 15 seconds. Never got anywhere near the sleeping with it part.
I decided that people who could successfully use that mask....I would bow down in awe to.

I kind of want one for the novelty of it but not enough to spend $100 on it. Seriously looking at the F10 though or possibly the new F20.
Re: Favorite full face mask.
I ended up with a Small FitLife in a box of donated stuff and that's how I got to try it out.
I sure wouldn't have paid any money for it. I eventually passed it along to someone else who wanted to try "the mask of last resort" which is what a lot of us call those total face masks. It's been 2 or 3 years I guess and I don't know how it worked out or remember who got it.
There are people who do use them quite successfully but I sure wasn't one of them.

Re: Favorite full face mask.
I started with the Quatro Mirage, but it made a large sore on my nose. My next mask was the Simplus. I used that one for several months, but had to use tape to keep it in place. I tried the Air Fit F 10, but that also made my nose sore. I tried the Mirage Liberty and the Hybrid face masks, but could never get them to seal. I am currently using the Amara View which I really like, but like you I sometimes have trouble getting a good seal. I have a Quatro FX available that I haven't tried yet. I used a Quatro FX on one of my Titration studies and liked it. I will try it sometime in the next few weeks, and if I don't like it, I will pass it along to someone that can use it. Face mask is a very personal thing. What works for me may not work for you. Everybody's face is unique, and everybody has a different opinion as to what is a good mask.

I remember when I first started out and was wishing for a mask like a space bag that tighted aroud my neck before I found out I could use a nasal pillows mask. I think a lot of us started out thinking we had to use a full face mask then later discovered that the pillows worked better for us.

Unbelievable! I had just gotten this mask the other day and I wanted to test it before I commented on it or even admit that I had it.amenite wrote:You wish has come true, sort of ...Stormynights wrote:I remember when I first started out and was wishing for a mask like a space bag that tighted aroud my neck before I found out I could use a nasal pillows mask. When I first tried it I thought that it was a fast failure until I tried to take it off. The leaks were horrible until I got it nearly loose enough to remove and the leaks stopped. I slept on my side and didn't have any more leak issues at all. It had to be very loose to work. I was impressed. My face did sweat a bit and it was a bit too noisy but that seemed to settle down after a little while. I don't expect this to be my number one mask and I never did. I just have those nights when nothing wants to work for me. This is nothing new for me. The P10 is my all time favorite but I have times when I just can't stand it. I can take a little break and it will become my #1 favorite again.
