Obama tried to get a much more comprehensive plan in place (as I'm sure you all know and choose to forget) but was consistently blocked by Republicans... you get what you pay for so what you have is what he was able to get passed, not what he wanted... blame the Reps, not the Dems.

At the time the ACA/Obamacare legislation was passed (early 2010), the House, Senate and Presidency were all controlled by the Democrats. They could have passed ANYTHING they wanted.
But, then Nancy Pelosi did say they'd have to pass it to find out what was in it.........

I didn't assume that. It was just one of the sources I found. Just a "mix" of sources.
However, Jonathan Turley and Yahoo! news are definitely not in the conservative category.
