Do I need a converter for CPAP in Dubai & India?

Travelling to Dubai & India. Don't intend to use CPAP on plane so don't need doctor's note, etc.

But I'm not sure a CPAP 24V made in USA will work in Dubai and India. I have plug adapters but do I need a voltage converter in UAE & India?

Same as the UK, 3 pin and 220 - 240 volts 50hz

check your AC Adapter, my Resmed 90w AC Adapter says:

AC INPUT 100-140V~50-60Hz. So it fits, I only need the 3 prongs plug adapter.

All those countries that were under the British empire use 220 volts, 50 Hertz. If you get a shock there then it will be more than twice as painful as a shock in the USA.

What brand machine are you using?
On the bottom or side or the power brick it will tell you what electrical supply it is compatible with.
Almost all machines today that I know of (especially those supplied in the US and the name brand machines) will make the conversion automatically for the difference in electricity and all you need is the adapter for the plugging into the wall socket.

If we knew exactly what brand you are using we could point to the actual specifications for that machine.
You mention 24 V which makes me think ResMed...the older ResMed's didn't have a power brick but the newer ones do but all ResMed's will do the conversion automatically within whatever power supply it uses.

All the 24v ones are from Oz, AFAIK, or someplace near there.
All the USA ones I am sure about are 12v.
So, what brand is this unusual machine?

This seems to be a duplicate thread. Here's what I posted on the other thread.

Most (all?) CPAP machines are dual-voltage. However, you need to see what it says on you machine to be certain. If your machine has a "brick" (a big block in the middle of the power-cord that looks like a brick), it will be on that. If not, it will be on the bottom or side of your machine.

Power in both India and Dubai is 230 volts 50 hertz. U.S. power is 120 volts 60 hertz. That will most likely be a non-issue. What will be an issue is the shape of the electric sockets (also called "power points"). Please follow the link below to see what you'll need in any country. Also, I pack three normal size extension cords, rather than one long one; I find it more convenient. Note also that since there's a U.K. influence in both these places, what we call an extension cord might be known as an "extension lead." Beware of the "M" type socket as the "universal" adapters won't fit into it.

Here's the last caveat. Most power strips that are sold in the U.S. are also surge protectors and won't work on a 230 volt system.

Okay...it has a power brick and ResMed...the S9 and the AirSense use power bricks.

So...all you need is an adapter for the plug to the outlet...if your machine is one of the models above.
No special converter is needed.

Machine doesn't look like any that Pugsy posted. This machine was made in Singapore, S9, H5i IPX1.

D.H., there's no more information on the other side of the brick.

The machine that says H5i is the HUMIDIFIER.
The other box is the "BLOWER", or the actual cpap. The identification is on that part.
Right on top, by the ON button, it will likely say either Elite, Autoset, Escape, or Escape Auto.

doesn't matter, they all use the same power brick... and if the OP were to read the fine print on the brick, all the questions would be answered.

It's the S9 model. The first link I posted was to the S9 Elite...you have a S9 Escape...the power specs are the same no matter if it is an Elite or Escape or whatever S9 model.
