Adjustable Bed Risers
Adjustable Bed Risers
Hi,
I have some bed risers to raise the head of my bed a few inches to help with acid reflux issues. The problem is that the rest of the legs in the bed base are now on an angle off the ground at differnt hrights and I need something like an adjustable bed riser so that these legs have support. I am using books now but they are a bit large. Does anyone know of a product like a bed riser that would adjust from like 1 to 2 inches and in between? Maybe something that you would twist or crank to adjust the height? Thanks!

Re: Adjustable Bed Risers
Why don't you use a simple bed frame like this and then you'll need to raise only two legs:

Re: Adjustable Bed Risers
Go to Amazon and search for either "adjustable bed risers" or "adjustable bed casters." (without the quotes) You will find several of various types; the casters from Shepards are among the most versatile if they will fit your bed. Several are simply a set of plastic tubs of various heights that can be stacked to achieve the height you want. Alternatively, go to eBay and do the same searches. Home Depot and/or Lowes typically have similar products but with less variety.

You might be right if the sleeper is the "400 lb. person on the bed" Trump referred to in the recent debate.chunkyfrog wrote:A pair of jack stands crossed my mind; and veered off in another direction.

Re: Adjustable Bed Risers
Until you choose some risers, here's what I did... Fold a comforter until it fits fully across the head of the bed, maybe just a bit wider than your pillows. Place comforter between the mattress and box springs . Depending on the thickness of the comforter it should give you a slight incline of 2-4 inches (will compress with use). Don't want it to be high enough to cause you to slide down in the bed. I did this for a couple years but using CPAP happened to help my reflux enough that it's no longer needed. You may find the risers unnecessary.

Got a problem; throw money at it.
If that were true, GoFundMe would be full of "snuff" funds.

For years Prilosec was taken to treat Acid Reflux (GERD) problems.
But now, Prilosec Class Action Lawyers:
Individuals throughout the United States may be entitled to financial compensation through a Prilosec class action lawsuit or individual claim if they have been diagnosed with acute kidney injury, interstitial nephritis, chronic kidney disease or kidney failure. Similar claims are being pursued through Nexium lawsuits and other acid reflux drug lawsuits. The Prilosec lawyers at Saiontz & Kirk, P.A. provide free consultations and claim evaluations to help determine what legal options may be available for individuals and families nationwide. All cases are reviewed by our law firm under a contingency fee agreement, which means that there are no out-of-pocket costs to hire a lawyer and we receive no attorney fees or reimbursed expenses unless a recovery is obtained. Learn more and find out if you or a loved one may have a Prilosec kidney injury case.

Nexium Alternatives,
Nexium and other proton pump inhibitors are used by more than 15 million Americans each year, generating more than $10 billion in sales in 2013 alone. However, a number of studies have linked the drugs to an increased risk of kidney injury, kidney disease and kidney failure. Individuals who experienced these problems never would have agreed to take the drugs if they had known about the risks, since safer alternatives were available. Another class of heartburn drugs, known as histamine H2 receptor agonists, or H2 blockers, have been marketed for decades to treat symptoms of heartburn, yet they do not carry the same kidney risks. This class includes medications like: Zantac Pepcid Tagamet Tazac Axid and Others These drugs were first introduced in the 1960s, working to prevent the production of stomach acid. Although the medications address symptoms faster and provide a safer alternative to Nexium, Prilosec and other PPIs, sales of H2 blockers plummeted amid aggressive marketing by PPI drug makers in recent years. In addition to H2 blockers, over-the-counter calcium carbonate remedy tablets may have been able to address symptoms and problems of many heart burn sufferers who have been taking Nexium or Prilosec for years. First introduced in the 1930s, these products include antacids like: Maalox Rolaids Tums Mylanta and Other Antacids Many individuals also may have been able to address heartburn symptoms through life-style changes, without using prescription treatments like Nexium and Prilosec, if they had known the risks. Alternative life-style recommendations to improve heartburn symptoms often include: Avoiding meals within 2-3 hours of going to bed. Reduce size of meals to avoid overeating Slowing down when eating Staying away from heartburn trigger foods Quitting smoking and avoiding alcohol Elevating the head of your bed while sleeping.

What a gorgeous bed! I can see it fitting equally well with any decorating style or design period - where do I find one? (maybe a nursing home going out of business) Does it come in a California King?avi123 wrote:You can get this electric riser bed:
